Why Shraddha is not getting any credit for ABCD2?

All guys rushed to cinemas to watch her. Yet Varun is being hailed as the superstar/bankable star by the trade. Shraddha has 3 back to back blockbusters if you take out Haider which also was average despite competition from BB.

She is the only saving grace in film, went for her only... along with Lauren... but Trade looks the bigger picture as youth overall went for Varun more than Shraddha.

Youth got interested in the movie because of Shraddha's performance in Sun Saathiya didnt they?

Well, it's like YDHJ where Ranbir was hailed as next superstar and most of credit was given to him whIle DP was barely recognized by the media especially.

Shradha hasn't really proven she has star power of her own, so people think it's mostly because of Varun. May be when Shradha proves or in her next movies, she will be then given credit.

She's gotten appreciation from the audience, much more than she did for Ek Villain. It's generally how the trade perceives things. Box-office pull is usually attributed to the male star.

It's like Dil Dhadakne Do's and Bombay Velvet's underperformance has raised questions regarding Ranveer's and Ranbir's box office pull but no one's raising questions about Anushka and PC's box office power.

Actors eventually get credit/blame for a film's verdict more than often. Only difference might be when actress is the bigger star out of the leads like Kareena in GTPM.
