Based on the format of the show that is looking for popularity first, yes, he deserves to be the Indian Idol.
He is not the best singer but he is the most popular. there may be more fans of Amit but Prashant's fans are much more loyal.

I agree with Seiza. He deserves that's why he's on Top 2. Both are better and deserving in their own way. They have proved it, now it's their fans/voters turn to make them deserving.
out of topic but as u started this deserving thing. Just for an example, do you think Deepali deserved to be voted out? didn't she sing better than any other contestants? This thing has gone way beyond the deserving point. Blame her voters who didnt vote enough to keep her in the game.
These kind of threads are just drawing lines between fans in a very negative way.
