I didn't really see tension. More of like a mixed reaction. On one side, it felt like he was in disbelief that Swara was saying that as she was the same girl her mercilessly insulted and blackened her family's face. He looked like he was torn between feeling guilty and shocked. But on the other hand, it also looked like, esp during earlier scenes with Swara proclaiming support for Laksh, DP, while in disbelief, was also able to see why Laksh loved Swara? Like there was a concentrated look on his face.
Secondly, I feel like Swara's dialogue might be foreshadowing. She might accept that she loves Laksh, but she will never marry him even it means a bad rep for the MF. She said that straight up so SwarYa love battle is still not out of the woods. Maybe DP will actually use her dialogue to convince her to not marry Laksh? And finally, prob the wrong place to post/ talk about it, but whatever. Tbh I find DP becomming a really compelling character and victim. Like while he has done acts of villainy, you can kinda see where he's coming from and *justify* ,for a lack of a better word, those acts. Here;s a character who completely believes in his actions and is shown consistently grey and strong. Idk I'm not writing it properly, but I feel like he's been shown really well. He can be the loving caring father, respected head of society, but also maniacally evil when someone disobeys his rules. Quite complex and enjoyable to watch imo.
