The cold shouldering between Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone has been making news for quite some time now. The two actresses, who are apparently at loggerheads, time and again seem to be making their cold war quite evident.

Though reports have it that the two actresses aren't much on talking terms, the leading ladies have managed to be cordial during media events. In fact, while the news was rife that they have been ignoring each other at parties and events, Dippy and Kangs made sure to pose together for the paparazzi whenever they came face to face.

Interestingly, when Kangana was quizzed about her equation with Deepika Padukone at the trailer launch of Katti Batti', the Queen' star politely replied, "It is Katti Batti' between us."

Well, Kangana's message is very clear if one knows how to read between the lines!

They are no friends but they respect eachother. Nobody in the industry is can be good friends when everybody is aiming for the same good projects. Maybe Kangs wanted that Deepika shows her more respect by showing up to her partys and DP seems frustrated with Kangs because she talks openly about the equation with deepika.

The now-on-now-off friendship between Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone has been aptly described by the former.

Though Kangana Ranaut is known to get along well with lots of actresses in B-Town including Priyanka Chopra, her equation with Deepika Padukone has been somewhat strained, or so the wagging tongues make us believe.

It was being said that the two ladies ignored each other at a recent event despite having earlier made up on the phone in what was described as a heart-to-heart talk.

At the trailer launch of Katti Batti' on Sunday, when Kangana Ranaut was asked about her equation with Deepika Padukone she gave a terse but smart reply, "It's katti batti between us."

Though apparently spoken in jest, the statement may hold some truth if latest reports are to go by.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut also clarified that she couldn't do Salman Khan's film Sultan' because of date issues as she had already committed to Vishal Bhardwaj's film Rangoon'.

"I had already given dates to 'Rangoon' and that's why I couldn't do the film," Kangana told reporters.

The actress added that she's choosy when it comes to signing films.

"I have always been choosy. Regardless of whether you are successful or not or there are options available or not, you have to choose the best. Earlier, there were not much options for me but now there are options. So I can afford to be choosy," Kangana Ranaut said.
