Here's a question that i need to ask Indians in here.

So i saw TWMR yesterday and i kept on thinking is this really indian culture? I mean drunk girls, illegitimate children, live-in relationships etc etc.

The indians that i know over here are conservative, even the educated American ones.

So is all that is portrayed in movies like Suddh Desi Romance, TWMR and Katti Batti etc really true or is it just exaggeration by the filmmakers?

Where did TWMR have illegit kids or live in relationships? Anyways times are changing...drinking is acceptable in Indian society now even in smaller towns among women/girls. Live in relationships are also present in bigger cities. Illegit kids though are a no-no still.

Didn't you watch the movie? Tanu's friend has someone else's baby and then her husband finds out.

Yes. What's a no today, will be yes tomorrow. I think, there will be a time Indians will be more modernized than Americans emselves. No pun intended.

No...she conceives thru IVF and not thru an extra marital affair. She doesnt tell him about it as she doesnt want to hurt his ego that he is incapable of fathering a child.

Tanu's friend has a baby through IVF, where the sperm donor is a man other than her husband, because he is incapable of having children. She does not want to hurt his feelings, hence she goes ahead and has a baby through IVF with another man's sperm.
What Tanu's friend did was immoral, but nothing illegitimate about it.

Yes that's INDIAN CULTURE.

Characters like Vasudha are regressive and hinders the progression of indian culture towards #mychoice type of women 😆
