Parineeti Chopra all set to move into her new 4-BHK home this month

Mumbai: Parineeti Chopra is all set to move into her new home on Carter Road in Bandra, just a stone's throw away from where Karan Johar lives.

The house-proud actress reveals, "Yes, I bought a new home. And I've taken time off to do up my dream home all on my own brick-by-brick."

Parineeti has a professional architect. But she is personally looking into every aspect of the home's design and decoration. "Since I've the time before I go into another film I am enjoying the process of picking sofa covers and cushions all on my own. Oh ya, I am doing every inch of the house myself."

She shifts into her dream house at the end of June. "It's almost ready. It's a 4-bedroom. And I am proud to say I put forward the design myself."

The process of collecting design data began years ago. "I've always been interested in interior designs. Wherever I travelled I'd take pictures. It could be a hotel room, or a shop. Anything that caught my fancy was clicked by me. I've an exhaustive folder of thousands of pictures."

Parineeti used those pictures as reference for her home. "My interior designer said she had never met anyone as clear about what she wanted her home to look like. Others, apparently change their minds all the time about what they want their home to look like. Not me. It's my collected images culled from years of collection and recollection."

She hopes to throw a house-warming party as soon as she moves to her new home with Karan Johar of course as a prominent guest.

Says the actress joyously, "Karan's house is my landmark location whenever someone asks for my address. I told Karan , You're my landmark.'
