Best Female singer in INdia

Kavita Krishnamurthy. After Lata and Asha Ji if there is any good singer, it has to be her. She was extremely versatile and could any song brilliantly be it a folk song like Nimbuda or an item song like Hawa Hawai or a romantic song like Yeh dil sun raha hai. She is absolutely amazing.
Among the current lot, Sunidhi is good as she is the most versatile singing all types of songs like sajna vari, bumbro, bidi jalayle, fanaa, etc.

i prefer lata ji, ashaji,more than others and from list i prefer kavita krishnamurthy and shreya

i love chitra, may she not have sung that much of hindi songs but you have asked best female singer in india so i prefer chitra after lataji and asha ji.

So many big names in it.Alka Yagnik is the most highly rated female singer in India or even in Pakistan.But my choice has to be between Kavita,Shreya & Sunidhi.I have chosen sunidhi because the kind of songs she sings.Are not easy for the other ones to sing.And she is the most versatile singer of the modern Era.She has sung all kind of songs brilliantly.

For me it is a tie between Sunidhi and Shreya, they both have such unique and sweet voices! Especially Sunidhi who is amazingly versitale!!
