Although she could be the most popular actress in Bangladesh at present, but it for sure, it's not due to her acting or movie career. In fact, she is popular for the famous reason of filing a rape case against Bangladesh fast bowler, Rubel Hossain, during the eve of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.

Najnin Akter Happy, who alleges that rubel had promised him for marriage, reneged his words. However, she is hardly concerned about what people think regarding her story following the heartbreak by Rubel and feels it would take a long time to heal, reports Hindustan Times.

"Bhaiya, please don't ask me about that episode. I don't want any controversy," she said.

"Funny we are meeting here because I have stopped watching cricket. Coming down this road brings memories. Some are, some aren't. I try to clutch on to the good ones," she added.

"It was madness, actually. We met at an event for cricketers before taking it forward through Facebook. It was a whirlwind period of love. Somehow, everything fell apart,"she recalled.

Rubel was jailed for three days before being relased on bail in order to travel to Australia and participate in the World Cup. However, following Bangldesh's journey to the quarter-finals, she dropped the charges against him.

She said that Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli are her favourite cricketers. "I've not seen dada play, but he is a brilliant TV host [on a Bengali channel]. Virat is too good; it's great to see how he has stood by Anushka. I wish I was that lucky," she said.

However, she said that sh wanted to stay away from cricket for the time being for her own good and avoid further controversy.

"And also, I want justice. I want to see it to the end. Actually, I still love Rubel, but only the man I knew a year back," she concluded.
