Chapter 5-B

Friends... Being Better Friends...

Since I had planned revelation in this chapter, I have just managed to change it a bit, as most of you wished to see growing friendship before revelation,

so well I make that revelation in next chapter, which will be updated by tonight or tomorrow maximum.

Whole day went by with Raghav working and focusing on multi tasking, having glimpses of Kalpana who was working and working on his project. By no means this time, he wished to delay project further.

It was almost 4, when "Kalpana!" came the voice from across the wooden wall across the table, Kapana looked up to see Mr. Rawat and she smiled standing up and wishing him good evening, "This is Rest and Shine file, a complete one with all the material required," he informed. Kalpana looked at Rawat for couple of second surprised, "Complete One?" confirmed Kalpana not believing her ears. "Yes, I am surprised too, but Singhaniya sir's son, has indeed completed the listing of things, and it seems to be perfect, I couldn't find mistake, just confirm it once on your part, and list down latest costing and finance required for each material," Rawat told Kalpana as she took the file. Once he left Kalpana looked at file in her hand to once again assure herself opening and turning couple of pages, "Was it true about what she heard?" She couldn't really believe this, but was indeed pleasantly surprised.

Kalpana recalled the morning incident as she settled down on her chair when she realized about her telling Raghav about Jr. Singhaniya's attitude and behaviour. A slight of fear crept within her as she realized possibility of Raghav telling him about something like this. That's exactly when Ramu appeared in front of her with long envelop, "Ma'am chote saab has sent this for you!" he informed. Kalpana's hand started trembling at the thought as she reached to an envelope and nodded making Ramu leave, she nervously opened the paper in three folds which was placed in that envelope, and was shocked to realize her fear wasn't false one as she began reading,

"I hope this time I have impressed you with my work, Ms. Jadhav and you will not go around complaining and pointing out any wrong image about myself to anyone else, nor my friend.

I really have no clue what have you said or informed my friend, for he seems to have changed so much? That too so quickly? So much to have that daring to order me and tell me what needs to be done and how?" Kalpana gulped reading the these few lines as she never expected this instant effect of her words, within like 4 hours... as she read further,

"My friend is now acting like some mature old person who has innumerable responsibilities on his head, and making me feel guilty and irresponsible.

All well, however I sincerely thank You for this hammer in head for now, I would try to be on my sincerity effect as much as I can. Just a request, please let this torture end here, and don't spoil him any further, as if you do that what will happen to my music band which I have dreamed of owning? J From, Master Singhaniya" Kalpana smiled as she read towards end of letter and she recalled how Raghav said he is interested in music and how Jr. Singhaniya would also be planning on that level.

Raghav was watching Kalpana amused by her reactions on receiving the file and then letter her changes in expression while reading the letter. He never felt happy on seeing other happy like he is today. That feeling of pride he felt after meeting the other day when he heard two word of appreciation and Kalpana's smile and joyous face were like two rewards for him.

Kalpana started going through the file, but while going through it, something striked her as she picked her phone and dialled a number, "Hello dada,?" Kalpana started, "yeah, Kalpi say?"

Kalpana: "Dada, I was... Um... Dada I was wondering, if we can have small camp tonight?"

Pakya was kind of taken aback by this sudden suggestion of her sister.

Pakya: "Why all of sudden are you suggesting this?"

Kalpana: "Umm.. Dada the thing is tomorrow would be Pakhi's birthday... so will surprise her at 12.00 and she loves it when you play piano with her, won't you want to do something like that for your girlfriend?" she asked.

Pakya: "I would love to" he said blushing, "Thank You for reminding my little sister!" he said. "I will call you in a while... as I will now plan more surprises, but yes, campfire in building for sure! I will get cakes and balloons too...!!" he said excitedly.

Kalpana: (smiled...) "Yes..!! Sure... We will have special evening together... All of us...! Whole society... will be invited... You have 4 hours for arrangement brother..." she informed him and hanged up call.

In this two hour I will finish checking and cross checking all the price list for atleast 2 pages, and adding best one here in stalk.

Raghav had left the place soon and headed back home for rest and getting ready, this time eagerly, for his duty in evening, for which he will leave within an hour or two.

It was around 6.15 and Raghav had reached office, waiting for Kalpana... He saw her coming out and walking on her practiced route, "Hi..." she heard him say and turned around surprised to find him... She smiled looking at him, but then realizing something she turned her head away and started walking in obviously fake anger. Raghav was left confused, "Madamji... Ohh Madamji..." he started saying as she followed her, "what happened? Is everything alright??" he asked her confused! Kalpana stopped and looked at him with irritation, "Stop calling me this madamji and stuff, I have name too...!!" She ordered, Raghav smiled on hearing it but made a serious face, "I am sorry, since yesterday I forgot and I just realized I am watchman, I should never call anyone of the member with their names... I will continue my trend..." and his words just added annoyance to her, "But this morning, didn't we extend the hand of friendship!" Kalpana reminded as Raghav argued back, "Who ignores friend and moves ahead without glancing back!" Kalpana looked at him slightly angry, "And who goes and informs what one friend says to other friend, making first one feel so awkward!" she asked... Raghav stared at her blankly and then smiled, "What should have i done, I couldn't take my friend being insulted that way... That too so old and good friend," he spoke as he passed her and smiled... Kalpana looked at him with her mouth open in shock, "So you go and gossip?" she asked straight... "Fine...!!" ... Raghav turned back, "Kalpana..." But was cut... "MADAM! And BYE!!!" saying this she turned back and walking ahead, smile still on her face, his action still didn't make her angry, though she thought she should have been for it was him who had put her in such a awkward situation...

Raghav smiled looking at her fast paced walking ahead... "Gosh,... if this was awkward, how will you react when things will be further weird for you to know, I am the same friend of myself who told me...!!" Raghav chucked at the thought, but very next moment, "Bade baap ke bigde hue bete..." words he was reminded of, and her opinion on him and in general about being son of rich person. Shrugging all such thoughts, he had decided to not tell her anything for now, till he as Jr. Singhaniya proves himself.

Harish on the other side was pacing back and forth in his huge cabin of office, "I should tell Kalpana everything maybe about Raghav," he wondered... he can see his son changing within few days of being there as watchman, it is still just the start, but something had his share of worry,...

Flashback:

Before leaving Kalpana had come to meet him personally. Knock Knock

Hairsh looked up, and smiled, as he said, "Come in Kalpana!" Kalpana came in and handed over a small paper, "Sir here is file of Suraj, with ID proof and details," she informed. "I will speak to Raghav today, and will get by tomorrow max to max day after tomorrow..." she informed Harish... Hairsh looked at her for couple of minute before smiling, "It's ok beta, i know Raghav ..." he informed, trying to tell her to not worry, but she denied considering to follow every policy made ... She has always been the one following principle of life and would not really change it on any instances... He has to tell her truth, with this thought he picked up his phone to call ...

Flashback ends

Raghav has changed for good things, I do not want him to now do anything in wrong direction, even making his false ID, which would be huge crime, if talked on serious level. So I will have to speak to Kalpana.

Raghav finally caught up with Kalpana as she continued walking. "Kalpana Madam... Please listen to me...!!!" he said huffing reaching next to her and she stopped still looking straight ahead, "I am really sorry madam, it's just that he asked me about ..." Raghav paused, trying to find some excuse or something to make up, "Music Band? Concert?" right Kalpana helped him. And Raghav got the game of hang... as he grinned,... "Yes... Umm.. But how do You know about it?" he asked innocently... "Raghav I know everything, afterall handsome and dashing Jr. Singhaniya himself told me about it," she replied teasing him. Raghav paused for couple second to think, "Handsome and dashing? How do you know that is either of it?" asked Raghav curiously. Kalpana looked back smiling at him, "Raghav, what kind of silly question is this? Of course because we work in same office and he is like son of Harish sir..." Raghav was rooted on his place looking at her as she walked ahead smiling and laughing thinking, "Is he jealous? Maybe? But oh well who cares...!! I will fuel to it..." she paused, and turned back to see confused and lost Raghav with expression that somewhat expressed disappointment making Kalpana grin, "What happened Raghav? What did you think he is only your friend?" bringing Raghav back to the world as his head shot up to see her laughing at his confusion, but still not getting final point, "Does she know, who I am or who is Jr. Singhaniya?" ... Raghav however just for an attempt to answer, "That's great, I am glad you guys are friends too..." Kalpana continued with her fuelling with laugh, "In fact we had lunch together too today, in cafeteria of office...!!" that statement of her was enough to make him realize, she is just mocking and teasing her innocent watchman, i.e. himself and he heaved a sigh of relief on it... He shouldn't let her know anything for now... So he decided to continue with her teasing session innocently ... "Ohh that's awesome... so what did you guys have for lunch?" Kalpana was surprised by his question when he answered it... "Umm... Just some chinese food," she answered randomly, "What? But he hates Chinese, he prefers Thai..." he said stiffening himself as he spoke about his own likes and dislikes in name of favourites of Jr. Singhaniya...Soon they continued walking and talking to each other.

Kalpana started feeling uncomfortable with the this tease game, as she realized that her objective went dry and Raghav wasn't really affected by her lies. He was as casual as he was while telling him about Jr. Singhaniya... Kalpana tried changing subject in knowing likes and dislikes of her watchman friend, Raghav. But failed badly, as Raghav refused to speak much about himself in this role with fear of exposing himself.

Soon they reached the gate of society, and Suraj had seen duo coming from far. He felt tinge of jealousy within him seeing Kalpana and Raghav in friendly equation, but he ignored it, for he knows Kalpana is his friend and would always be. Soon Raghav and Kalpana reached building as Suraj stood there at main gate,

"Good evening Suraj," Kalpana greeted him with a warm smile. Suraj smiled back pleasantly informing her, "He is well, and just tired!" Kalpana laughed at it. "Did you have some tea? Or should I ask Mom to send it... You will feel better..." Suraj and Kalpana got in friendly conversation, which this time made Raghav feel uncomfortable seeing her laughing and pleasantly talking to her so called friend. He kept on looking at them for minutes he couldn't remember, however he thought of interrupting their friend's lovely moment with some other friend, "Hey Suraj, is Viraj uncle here yet?" he asked. "No Raghav he still hasn't reached... I called him an hour back, he will be here soon..." Suraj informed... Realizing Raghav there, he picked up his bag, sadly as it was time for him to leave... He looked at Kalpana with smile. "Suraj wait!" she said... and Suraj looked back at her as she continued, "Please stay back for evening," she requested making Raghav feel burning inside, with this sweet request, while Suraj just smiled, "I will come back within an hour or two, let me prepare myself for evening fun?" he informed, "Pakya has already told me about Pakhi's birthday, and I am given work of getting cake for her...!!" he added. Kalpana smiled, as she continued, "Silly me... how could I forget Pakya would have done it... anyways, I too will move ahead home need to set up fire woods for evening celebration," Kalpana completed. Both of them smiled and went their ways, leaving Raghav confused and unhappy.

Before she left for moving inside she turned back, "Raghav," she called out, "With help of Abdul please gather up some woods in centre I will be back in few minutes," she commanded. Raghav nodded with smile.

Abdul and Raghav headed towards back of the society which had some trees around, as they started working on collecting woods and placing them in middle of the ground. Viraj soon appeared in the vicinity, and was stunned seeing his boss working and collecting woods, he ran to him and informed him to leave it, he will do it. Raghav smiled at him, "No, it my work for now, I will do it... don't worry..." Viraj was happy to hear the words which came from him, however he didn't appreciate seeing Raghav doing these work. He thought of informing Harish about it asking some alternative to this role. However Harish spoke to him calmly, as he explained, "Till date, Raghav has never actually worked hard, it's ok and bearable to see him do something like that Viraj. When he comes home, his dinner plate is ready, he has never in his life even picked that up and placed it in sink, so I somewhere do believe it should be time to do little of these pick up and placing be it plates or logs. Life may not always be luxury for him. Viraj, you stay there and just be there as support, moral and emotional for Raghav," Hairsh concluded and Viraj nodded. "Anyways is Kalpana around there?" Harish asked Viraj after pause of couple of second. Viraj looked around and saw Kalpana standing at entrance of her "wing" in building. "Yes sir, she is around here," he informed. "Ok great can you ask her to talk to me..." Harish said, with an intention to tell truth to Kalpana and be transparent. Harish assumed that she will understand his motto and support him too.
