While it's still debatable whether Kabir Sharma feels anything for Ananya Kashyap right now, the fact remains to be seen and it's crystal clear that Ananya has struck a chord deep within Kabir, a chord that had long since been dormant!
Ananya to Kabir is like a breathe of fresh air...Her friendship for him was something of value. Clearly it has been years since Kabir has felt at ease with anyone barring Tarini. But here is this crazy junior reporter who doesn't hesitate to question him or to confront him! The competitive and success hungry journalist inside Kabir is fueled by Ananya with her fierce nature!
A thing to be reckoned is the expression that Kabir gave when Ronnie said , "Arey Ananya aisi he hain...mein janta hun usey.."
Kabir's expression was one reflecting contemplation...He realized in that moment that though he had extended the hand of friendship to Ananya, he still didn't know a lot about her...There was a hint of sadness in his eyes on realizing this! THAT is how much he has started valuing her friendship!
And ultimately, Ronnie's revelation shocked him as he suddenly was faced with a reality check that he wasn't Ananya's only friend...she had others...she always had others...But the recent events had made both them forget that important part! They had built a bond...but what they missed is how the others would react to it!!
It will be a challenge for both to keep up their friendship and I am, for one, very eager to see how it plays out!
