If only Rawatji had agreed with Pratap's plan of attacking Akbar when his army was small, all that is happening right now in Chittor could've been avoided I don't understand the point in attacking Akbar now 😕 Sure, he'd be surprised and taken aback by the suddenness of the attack but he'll regain his composure and hit back with more severity ...after all, a reaction and a misstep from the Rajputs is what he wants For the Rajputs, this could be apne pairon pe kulhaadi maarna

well it was always a challenge to attack mughal army because the fort was so vast and you have to man the fort and defend it and fight outside if you were to attack, so in hind's sight we would say they should have attack etc, but in their shoes at that time, they could do only so much!

You're right when you say that at that point in time, they did what they thought was the right thing... So, I agree with everything you wrote...but problem here is the CVs are not showing what actually happened during the siege...what actually is part of history... What they've served us is an adulterated version of actual history... So instead of an awfully senseless and tasteless mish-mash , they should've given us something that we could digest easily ...what say ? 😉
