Ronnie gets Khurana's call that he has rescued both of them They both reach KKN just then and meet everyone. Ananya's mom gets emotional seeing her daughter safe and sound. Kabir then sees his brother, goes near him and addresses him as dada/elder brother and hugs him. He then sees Manav and approaches him. Manav tells him that he had kept viewers glued in front of the TV for 48 hours. Kabir replies that even he must have learnt a lot and hugs him. Ananya introduces her mother to him who thanks him for saving Ananya's life.
Kabir tells Malvika that he would read the special bulletin and adds that Ananya would read the news with him from here on. Ananya is overjoyed. She gets ready and remembers the moment when Kabir had told her how beautiful she looked. They start with the bulletin and he starts with a brief on the events of the kidnapping. Ananya continues and calls Desu and Inspector Khurana for an interview. They discuss about the reason behind someone becoming a traitor and elaborate on how to tackle such issues and with this, they end the segment.
Kabir commends her on her news reading skills. Kabir's brother meets them and introduces himself. He asks him to take care of himself and leaves. Ananya's friends congratulate her on her first news reading and cannot believe her incredible good luck on getting to read the news segment with Kabir.
Meanhwhile, Kabir looks at the news paper cutout from Ananya's locket and recalls her telling him how he was the only one who had written something positive about her dad and how she wants to know where her dad is now. He is worried that she may repent after knowing the truth as it is very bitter. Just then Ananya enters his cabin and thanks him for giving her an opportunity to read with him and adds that she wishes to be more a reporter than a news reader. He accepts and adds that he has two things to give her, one is her specs and another his friendship. He extends his hand and she accepts his friendship happily. They tell each other to call by their first names.
