i liked shahrukhs character n peformance from this movie and his looks too

hated amitabh bachhan except that dining table scene which he nailed

rani hammed

abhishek n preity gave sincere performanes like their charaters in the movie

now about the movie, some proper editing (30 mins atleast) wud have made it a watchable, goodlooking movie atleast.

I think it was a good idea but it was handled poorly. Karan made it so that the audience can sympathize with Rani and SRK's characters but everyone was against them and nobody felt they deserved support. Intact your heart goes out to Preity/Abhishek who seemed like better people!

I did like the styling of the film though - everyone "LOOKED" really good especially Pretty and Abhishek.

But the movie was so bad that it destroyed Rani/Preity/Abhishek's careers, after that film they all went downhill and Preity Zinta suffered the most - did she even have any movies after it?😕

loathed that movie.loved it when pz kicked srk in the movie.i loved abhishek and hated ab sir in the movie for a chnge.

the ending was one of the worst I saw..cheaters were treated as pyar ke devdoot🥱

I liked the movie..infidelity happens..people fall out of love..it's not 'you live happily ever after' like in most hindi movies..that's not real life...😆 There's nothing disgusting about the whole premise...it could have been filmed better..some parts were a little over the top...Amitabh was irritating...

Karan himself during promotions of Bombay Talkies and at one interview with Anupama said he was disappointed with the way he made it. That's not how he saw it and he tried to make it look glamorous, which wasn't his intention. The originally movie was suppose to be darker. He even said, he wished he was less apologetic and made Maya-Dev go at it in the sex scene. Making it more scandalous and the exes not being so forgiving aka Rishi and whoever PZ played.

He's going to try and redeem himelf in ADHM I guess. I think he wants to tell the story and not justify it.

Maya and Dev were the worst written characters. Had no sympathy for them. Especially, maya whose problems didn't need an affair. she needed a counselor with her hubby to sort it out.

Dev needed a straight up divorce b/c he acted like such an ass and had no many ego problems. PZ's character was only with him b/c of teh child. Worst hubby ever.

I can't beleive KJo made the exes becoming good friends...that like enver happens in real life. It becomes so messy and never have I seen the ex-wife tell the mistress about her ex-hubby's true feelings. So sappy.

So many Uncle-Aunty.. families who came to watch.. Literally cringed when srk-rani was making love.

I just can't forget the audience reaction for this one. Coz it was a Diwali release. And like other srk movies, people came with lot of expectations.. to only see infidelity.

More than that.. Rani's and SRK's reasons, did not make sense to most audience. Abhi was absolute darling in the movie.. Rani did not make least bit of an effort to make her marriage work. It was hell annoying. SRK was a jerk.

KANK came in August actually, a week before Independence Day. Not Diwali!

Ohh ok. I must have confused it with another Gujju festival which comes around Independence Day. But I remember, it was holidays for us and theaters were going pack. Most family audience coz of Festival.

Nope did not like it at all. Finally agree with you Mrs.SalmanKhan. Movie content sucked. Too long. Too boring. Felt very monotonous. And not just the content of the movie, the acting wasn't up to the par, like one would expect with the big names involved.

The only good thing was that some of the songs were OK. Still not the greatest.
