Part 3 -

The next morning Pragya woke up early and as usual quickly text Tanu to wake up as her alarm never actually did, she wandered if she should text Abhi but decided to against it confused if she would disturb him.

While getting ready the thoughts of the night before wandered through her mind over and over and over and

"Stop it Pragya" She said to herself watching herself in the mirror. "Abhi watching the fashion show really doesn't change anything.

Apart from the fact that your designs would be judged by Abhi, or that he wouldn't like them, or that he would think that I am an idiot...

Stop it Pragya! Think positively!" Pragya took a deep breathe in before grabbing her bag, hugging Sarla and leaving for Tanu's house.

Tanu greeted Pragya smiling and when Pragya asked the reason she found out that Abhi was already there waiting.

"But the show isn't until a few hours later?" Pragya asked.

"Yeah, and we have no classes until then either so what's wrong with him coming with us there anyway?"

"Hey chashmish, all ready for the show?" Abhi asked sitting at the kitchen table.

"Yeah" Pragya told him nervously when Tanu chirped in.

"Oh come on Pragya you can't be nervous, I mean I'm the one walking the ramp, all you're doing is designing the clothes" Tanu told her as they walked upstairs to her room so Abhi didn't hear when he followed.

"Yeah you're right" Pragya realised there was no point in worrying; she wasn't going to be noticed there anyway, they were her designs but Tanu was the one modelling them. Pragya gave up thinking about it all together and joined in Tanu and Abhi's conversation who were now talking about hobbies.

"So you love dance as well?" Abhi asked.

"Yeah, it's one of my favourite hobbies." Tanu continued to tell him all about it while Pragya was relieved that it was one thing that she had said while e-mailing Abhi and thankfully it was one similarity between her and Tanu so there were no excuses to be made, for once...

"Tanu! Look you still haven't got the earrings! No not them! These!" Pragya was rushing around trying to sort Tanu out making sure everything was correct.

"Pragya! Stop it we have half an hour before the show starts!" Tanu said pouting looking at the mirror.

Pragya sat down grabbing a drink. Why was she worrying so much? Why was she rushing around pointlessly?

"Okay so you're all done, when you come back you wear the next clothes, there the blue and white ones." Pragya pointed to them.

"Okay, I know!"

Pragya offered Tanu a drink but she refused, worried about her lipstick getting ruined, she again turned to the mirror applying yet another layer on.

Pragya laughed at her and turned around looking at another one of her class mate's - Riya who seemed to be talking to someone on the phone. She was trying to hush her voice but the anger and annoyance in her voice was obvious and not hidden the slightest.

She suddenly snapped the phone shut before running out in tears. Pragya told Tanu who completely ignored her and so Pragya followed.

"Hey Riya!" She called after her as she stormed into the girl's washroom.

"Hey Riya what happened?" Pragya walked over to her and passed her a tissue to wipe her tears.

"I- I- I don't have a model to launch my designs!" She managed to tell her after she stopped sobbing.

"What do you mean you don't have a model, didn't you organise it all?"

"I did but she phoned me just now and said she couldn't come"

"Oh" was all Pragya was able to say. She didn't know how to help but she wanted to do so. "Is there anything I can do to help?" Pragya asked.

"Well, I- I need a model, is there any chance you could model them for me?" She asked with longing in her eyes.

Pragya stood silent as the question hit her, could she? Could Pragya Mehra, the nerdy chashmish walk the ramp in front of the students?

The judges?

The teachers?

Abhi?
