good points on both sides. Feel bad for minty, yes, but it is also true that she has done worse than she is getting. This is very realistic- i have known quite a few people who inflict so much pain on others but seem shocked , hurt & bitter when they face even the mildest rejection. their ignorance ,
self-obsession & one-sided thinking are their enemies-not other people!

Absolutely right Leela. In all these days, whenever Minty has been purportedly been hurt/attacked/attempted murder by Anu, she invariably says "haan. theek hai maine yeh sab kiya par koi mujhe iss liye kyun maarana chaahega". And I have heard this atleast four times now. That's when her absolute nonchalance at whatever she has inflicted on others galls me.

If Devyani had attempted suicide at the Rajat's rejection and implicated The Sareens as abetting, that would have been Minty's fault completely.

If Shastriji had died during the Lohri incident, that blame would be laid straight at Minty's doorstep.

If Rajat had died of heartbreak (and he came pretty close to going mad), that would be Minty's fault too for her hot-headed refusal of Anu.

If Anu had itself died of Drug overdose, that would indirectly be MInty's fault too.

Her other misdemeanors pale when compared to these four big mistakes she has done.
She is the root of most troubles but never accepts it any time.

A mother is precious, but only when she shows the qualities of being a mother. Being a biological parent does not entitle anybody to inflict emotional atyachar on one's offspring.

Aparna I agree with you. After all that she has done she should be grateful that Rajat has not cut off his relationship with her. That's proof enough that he still loves his mother

šŸ‘.Well said! Aparna, you said something that really needed to be said-

for real life as well as Indian shows/movies!
