Sanjay Leela Bhansali to take on Shahrukh Khan, again, this December!

Both Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, along with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali have now confirmed that their ambitious period drama, Bajirao Mastani, will release on December 18 2015. The film, which Bhansali had first envisioned as a Salman Khan - Aishwarya Rai starrer, also stars Priyanka Chopra in the lead.

Interestingly, the last time a Shahrukh Khan starrer clashed with a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, Deepika was making her debut in Om Shanti Om. 8 years later, Deepika has quickly climbed to the top of the ladder, and Shahrukh continues to be one of the biggest stars in the industry.

Firoz Nadiadwala, the producer of Hera Pheri 3, has also announced his comedy for Christmas. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty in the lead.

They won't clash on the same day. Whatever date Dilwaale chooses, Bajirao will avoid it by a week.

Herapheri 3 has been acquired by EROS and it will use to reserve one free week before or after Bajirao's release by announcing its release around Bajirao. It will be released in 2016.

It's a pity that a historical movie like Bajirao can't have an open week but these things cannot be avoided. Schedules are jam packed.

I know Bhansali has no chance against Rohit Shetty at boxoffice but he has always held his head high and the director is not so much into earning money. I respect Bhansali for that as long as it doesn't become guzarish or saawariya.


PS. i have this strong feeling Bajirao will release December 11. Herapheri 3 will be slotted for December 18th but won't release. Dilwaale will release 25th. Wait and watch.

But for now, Bajirao will be assigned december 18th.

I will have my money on DIlwale any day! Even if it turns out to be crap its still better than a SLB movie! I cannot stand his movies! lol haven't watched even Sawariya till date even with RK in it :p

I feel bad for PC & RS though..hope it does something just for their sake at least..
