Every contestant has their support from their own regions. Some regions support very strongly and some dont. If Prashant's fans from his region want to support him and they want to do it strongly through votes, what is other people's problem?

Even amit gets regional votes. So is it fair to say that Emon lost because Amit got regional votes???

I am not saying that Prashant is the best but just stop it guys. No need to keep on grumbling about regional votes. It is really get a bit too much.

Remeber.... this is a singing competiotion. No doubt amit, Emon and Prashant are good singers .... but withought being unbiased tell me: Is Prashant a better Singer than Amit? or Emon?

I hate it when people dont recgonize their talent, but recognize where they're from. If they're punjabi then only punjabi people vote. If they're nepaili, then nepaila people vote. This has to stop, its really unfair.. after all its the voice of India, not just the random cities in it! 😡

i agree amit's singing is excellent but i wont say prashant's is bad..he is outstanding too..amit's korakagaz rocked the audience yesterday but wat bout prashant's bheege hoth....it was superb...i dont think amit would be able to sing like that..wat i'm sayin is both has their own place...their own talent..

Dude you are so confused, if you think Amit singing was excellent and Prashat is outstanding. Its a contest and you choose the best. Frankly if the best happens to be from your town and you vote for him, I see nothing wrong. Like we voted for Taj mahal. It happens that one of the best happens to be in your country with great history. If people thought it wasnt worth a watch, people wouldnt have voted. Even though I am from Hyderabad, I wouldnt vote if charminar was one of the choices, though I respect Charminar for what it is. Do you get it ?

These people who are crying on regionalism don't know a clue about reality TV shows. Regionalism occurs everywhere, not only in Darjeeling. Haven't you watched Eurovision song contests? Scandinavians vote for scandanavians, baltic states vote for baltic nations, balkans vote for balkan representatives, Cypriots vote for Greek, British vote for the Irish, a Turkish living in Germany votes for Turkey, A Polish living in England votes for Poland; irrespective of the quality of perfomance. When Michelle McManus participated in the British Idol, the whole Scotland turned up to vote for her and she won.

Why are you guys so naive and plain stupid? If the Indian public were so concerned about Prashant being in the Indian Idol, they will vote for Amit and Prashant will eventually lose the final. India has a population of more than a billion. Do you know that the total votes counted during the top 3 contest was just 5 million? There are more than 1 million (10 lakh) Indians living in the UK alone. They can decide the Indian Idol for themselves if they want. Count the millions in the Arab countries and tens of millions in the city of Mumbai alone. What the hell are they doing if they don't want Prashant to win?

Darjeeling and Shillong want their cities to be identified in the bigger picture of India. Thats why they are crazily voting for their representatives. Mumbai has enough of identity. Thats why Mumbaites just watch the show and have fun. They don't have time to sit in their computer all day and vent their frustrations in India Forum. If they care, they will step up and vote for who they think is a better singer. As simple as that.

i agreee, if voters r spending their money to vote, they shud to free to vote any1 they wanna....b it on regional basis or not. right now prashant needs da money more than amit, so i dun mind him winning...afterall he is a gud singer too. even if prashant looses he probably will have a regular souce of income through concerts and stuff. amit is a singer par excellence, atleast i think so and i wud b the happiest to c him win, cuz i'v always thot tht he was da best n i know that regardles of da indian idol tile, he will go places. regional votes are a default when it comes to reality shows and ppl shud not these shows too seriously and n not make a gig deal outa sothin like regional votes

those who dont like Prashant: Accept it that he is in the top 2 and u cannot change it....its the ppl who voted him...so where is Prashant's fault?!
