Quite an object of desire and fantasy, not to say anything about being the window to soul.
Right from an Optician to a lover, everyone is interested in eyes. Even a doctor uses his eyes first and steth later, when he says, Aap kuch theek nahi dikh rahi..."
In today's episode, when Kabir praised Ananya's eyes, my mind thought about the famous dialogue of Pakeezah
"Tumhari Aankhein bahut khhobsurat hain, inhe band mat karna, nahi to Andhera Ho jayega..."
Many decades ago, my Dad had proposed to my Mom in a similar manner. What he said and how she responded is still a matter of humour to us.
Dad: Tumhari Nasheeli Ankhein...etc etc etc
Mom: Sir, meri ankhon main tears hain, ethyl alcohol nahi. Aap chahe to test kar sakte hain.
Test Karne ke bahane:
Dad: Tumhari Ankhon main dekhoon to zara...*gap of some mm*.
Mom: Itni pass mat aayiye, Sir...warna mere blind spot pe hit kar jayenge!
Nevertheless to say, somehow she got convinced that he was serious and the rest is history.
