The office help came and announced on the floor -' Ananya , Richa aur Trisha madam ko meeting mein aane ke liye kaha hai Kabir sir ne'
' Ugh ! The weekly reporter meeting. Mera kya kaam hai. Mausam kaunsa jaa ja kar main bahar reading leti hun' -Trisha complained.
' Trisha chal natak mat kar. Waise bhi it will hardly be a 10 minute meeting'-Ananya literally dragged her along
Three of them stepped inside and saw Khalid Malvika and Kabir already seated. Lucky Manav sir ! His fake appendix pain had earned him two days leave.
' aaj toh bulane ke sirf paanch minute main as gayi. Well done ' - Kabir scoffed.
' We have called you today not as reporters but as the youth that is working here. The demographic study says ki KKN ka connect youth ke saath abhi itna strong nahn hai ' -Khalid explained while observing his manicured nails
' so this is a brainstorming session. Let's share some ideas'-Malvika told the group.
Ananya was ready to speak when Kabir interrupted her -' Miss.Kashyap tabhi kuch boliyega agar koi acha suggestion ho. Chup rehna bhi aapko suit karta- hai'- Kabir informed her grinning.
Their banter was at an all time high after they had resolved their issues.
Ananya gave him a deathly stare and resumed speaking -' Sir, why dont we have some panel discussions at various colleges. Reporters from KKN can be part of it.'
' Sir, we can also absorb more interns as part of the internship program'- Richa added further.
' I like these suggestions. Kabir we can certainly look into these '- Khalid nodded looking at Kabir.
' sir, I too have a suggestion.'- Trisha added looking mighty impressed with herself.
All four swivellee their chairs to get a better glimpse of her. Trisha let's just say was not the brightest when it came to suggestions and more often than naught spoke on a different tangent all together.
' Kabir Sir, you should also take lectures at various Journalism colleges '- Trisha said
'Why? How does that help?' -Kabir asked.
' Sir, aapko dekh ke toh solid connect hoga. Ladkiyon ki attendance class mein full hogi . aur agar sab ladkiyan attend kareingi to obviously sab ladke bhi attend kareinge'-/Trisha reasoned with him
Richa was all set to ask Trisha to stop when Ananya kicked her under the table and shook her head. It wasn't everyday that they could corner Mr.Kabir Sharma. Trisha was on a roll and this was going to be a super interesting ride!
'Excuse me?' - Kabir added flustered.
' Sir, aap be apne aap ko mirror mein dekha hai na! aap bus class mein jaa kar baith jao. Aap koi film ki story bhi sunaoge na tab bhi ladkiyon ko farak nahn padega'
Khalid was trying his best to supress his giggle and the remaining three ladies were having way too much fun to intervene. If Kabir Sharma was hot , a flustered Kabir Sharma was sizzling!
' Trisha. let's think along some other lines..' - Kabir said wanting to weasel out of this embarrassing topic.
' Are sir, why are you being so modest '- Trisha said
' ever since you have joined as editor in chief none of the girls in our office have taken a leave. Hum sick leave bhi nahn lete. ' - Trisha added further trying to convince him
'Sir, aap mein ek natural charm hai. You have excellent flirtatious ways'- Trisha said this and KKabir choked on the sip of coffee he was taking.
' Arre ask anyone. Malvika dobt you think he has a special way with women?' - Trisha asked Malvika in all seriousness.
Malvika played along -' Absolutely Trisha. We saw him with Bhavna Shroff. He was spectacular '
' Dekha Sir. Aap apne aap ko itna down play mat kiya karo'- Trisha added seriously.
' Sir, next time you say hello or good morning , I will record it and play it for you. It is so husky. Actually aap abhi sun sakte hai. Our receptionist Kiran she hhas your good morning as her message tone. Should I ask her to send the file?' - Trisha asked taking out her phone.
' Absolutely Trisha, pls call for the voice file'- Khalid informed her.
' Really Khalid you too?'- Kabir asked him with raised eyebrows.
' Kabir main is channel ki saas hun. Har baar bade bete ki side li toh bahu betiyan naraaz ho jeyegi' - he added barely controlling his grin
' Kabir ab itna bhi bata do ki kaun bahu hai aur kaun beti'- asked Malvika
The entire conference room burst out laughing and Kabir turned the shade of his maroon t shirt.
' Maine much galat suggestion Di kya'- Trisha asked Ananya as they stepped out.
' Nahn meri sherni. Chal there ko aaj main tera favourite frappe pilati hun' - Ananya told her hugging her side ways.
The entire office received an email a week later saying that only journalists covering the political and current affairs beat were required to attend the meeting and a certain weather reporter could spend the extra time anywhere but the conference room !
