Today's Gala (Friday, Oct 7) was very interesting and absorbing indeed. What's more, it threw up some extraordinary results!
Qazi emerged as the top contestant and was placed in the safe zone. Roop, Rex and Arpita - evidently second, third and fourth in order of ranking - were pushed into the danger zone. This is nothing short of a miracle!
I think it was a fair judgement. Roop sang her first song exceedingly well, but faltered in the second; this helped Qazi to edge her out. Never mind, though. I'm sure Roop will return and form the Fame Jodi with Qazi or, which is now less likely, Rex.
The Friday Gala proves that art and integrity go together. Qazi and Roop are comparatively pure-hearted, honest and generous. They will be rewarded. The more cunning will take the back seat.
Out of the two moons amidst the little stars, Qazi is already safe. It is now our duty to save the other Moon, that is, our dear and innocent Roop.
