It is not only food and shelter but lack of a strong back up system which could take on the might of Akhiraj that made these women ( Mangala, Kamli and Nimboli ) suffer Akhiraj's atrocities living under his shelter. If they leave their house without proper planning and a strong support of an authority like police, gram panchayat , NGO or a powerful friend who is willing to accommodate them even for a short time , they will only end up being dragged back and killed like Gopal and Kamli ( Kamli survived only due to Mangla's devi act.
Ganga would also have lost her son and perhaps life too if she had not got backing of J, BH, whole collectorate and police of Jaitser due to Shiv- Anandi.
Do not know how DS survived without any support after escaping with her two sons and at which length Mahavir Singh could go to retrieve them but I am always surprised how hardly educated DS amassed such a great wealth on her own after starting from scratch? Wish CVs had shown little more of details of her story and what hardened her into the woman she was at the start.

Now I can not understand that how and why Kamli will agree to marry Pushkar ?What she fears to loose now? At most Akhiraj can kill her for which she is already ready after watching gruesome murder of her BF before her eyes? What can force her to accept marriage with Pushkar?
