Maa I am not getting ready. I am not interested in meeting anyone" Nisha yelled slamming the door of her room. Lakhsmi froze in her place holding the dress which she had picked for her to wear. Nisha threw herself on the bed and covered her face. "Nishu beta just listen to me we are not forcing you to get married to him he might turn out to be a good boy" Lakshmi tried to convince Nisha gently stroking her head. "We wouldn't let anything wrong happen to you right? Just meet the boy if you don't like him you are free to say no." Nisha sat up and took lakshmi in a tight embrace resting her head on her stomach. "Maa I don't want to get married now" "Nishu beta every girl says this. Imagine if your mother would not have got married how would I have my happy wala gana?" Ramesh stepped in to convince Nisha like a doting father. Nisha turned around and innocently looked up at Ramesh through her eyelashes. "That's not going to work this time" he smiled at her and pinched her cheeks. He sat besides her and cupped her face "Nishu just meet the boy get to know him tell us what you feel after meeting him. If you don't like him we will not force you. I will convince bauji if that is what you're worried about. Can you do this much for me" "Please go out" Nisha replied with a straight face all the innocence fading. Ramesh and Lakshmi looked confused at her hostile behavior. "How will I get ready if you two don't go out" she said pulling the dress from Lakshmi's hand. Nisha ducked as Ramesh playfully raised his hand to hit her. "I am glad you are giving this a thought remember papa is always there with you" Ramesh assured her placing his hand on her head. "Maa could you please send in Dolly Di and Kirti, need some help." "Ofcouse Beta" Lakshmi kissed Nisha's forehead and left.
"Nishu you need helps for your make - up" dolly walked in Nisha's room excited, Kirti tagged along. Dolly almost tripped over Nisha's shoes which she had thrown right in the middle of the room while throwing her tantrums on Lakshmi. "Dolly di I don't want any helps for my make - up" Nisha absolutely loathed make -up. "Nishu just stop throwing your weight on us and tell us what do you want from us? What is it that you plan?" "You are very smart Kirti how did you figure that out?" "Because I know how your evil brain works. Whenever you are on a menace like this it is always followed by a dangerous plan by you wherein we all put our life at risk without thinking of the consequences. "Nisha chuckled at Kirti's response. "I agree there is something I am planning but about the part that you all put your life at risk... isn't that a little too much" she gave Kirti a sly smile. "Now Dolly di and you please go call all the others while I get ready" Nisha said rummaging through her wardrobe. "What are you searching for Nisha?" Kirti asked her puzzled as she noticed the clothes and accessories that lay on the bed. "I am searching for my faded jeans Kirti" Nisha replied her voice going up a notch higher. "But your clothes are lying on the bed. Aren't you going to wear this salwar kameez its so pretty wont Lakshmi chachi get upset?" "I am not wearing that Salwar Kameez Kirti I'll explain it to Maa later, please go call the others" Kirti rolled her eyes and walked off in a huff. Dolly followed her trying to calm her down. Kirti walked silently while dolly blabbered all the way.
Nisha was ready in her faded jeans and a white coloured T- Shirt. She tried to keep her clothes as casual as she could. All the cousins stood in Nisha's room waiting for their leader to speak. Nisha unveiled the plan slowly as the cousins stood in a circle hands over each other's shoulders listening to her intently. Nisha held her hand out to her cousins, after she had unfolded the plan. They all pressed their hands one top of the other like always indicating that they were in this together. "Dolly...Kirti... Please get Nishu with you they are here" Lakshmi called out from the living room. The cousins disbursed to execute the plan.
Lakshmi stared at Nisha in disbelief at her attire, but she decided to confront her later. "Nisha come sit here" Lakshmi beckoned Nisha. "Beta this is my daughter Nisha" Lakshmi introduced the boy to Nisha. "Nisha this is ..." "Hi I am Kabir" Kabir interrupted before Lakshmi could continue. Kabir smiled at Lakshmi politely. "Kabir beta you have come alone I was hoping to meet your mother" Lakshmi enquired starting to get nervous. "Actually aunty she had to leave immediately due to some office work, she didn't want to cancel this arrangement so she asked me to continue alone. I am sorry she could not make it." "Oh no that's completely fine" Lakshmi was dubious about his reply. She looked at Ramesh jittery about the situation. Ramesh squeezed her hand trying to mitigate her from her anxiety. "Nishu why don't you show Kabir our house it will give you sometime to talk to each other" Ramesh suggested trying to divert Lakshmi's mind. "Yes ofcourse why not come along" Nisha spoke instantly. Her eyes gleamed with mischief.
She looked at Dolly and Kirti. Who appeared to be trying hard to keep up a facade. Nisha beckoned Kabir to the stairs. Kirti and Dolly followed Nisha and Kabir checking on Ramesh and Lakshmi before giving a hi - five to each other. Ramesh was skeptical about Nisha's behavior. "Lakshmi I feel your daughter is upto something" "Ramesh why do you always think Nisha will do something wrong? She agreed to meet Kabir, she is ready to show him the house and talk to him without even arguing then why do you worry?" I am worried for that very reason. I know my daughter very well she cannot agree to something so easily without creating a ruckus. I am sure something is cooking between her and cousins." "Ramesh ji relax me!!! You are over reacting" Ramesh stared at Lakshmi wide eyed while lakshmi blushed at her own response.
