What changed them?

Who changed who? Or what changed them?

I agree that dadisa changed because of the jhatkas given by Jagya than anandi's goodness. Anandi was good from day one and that did not change dadisa earlier.

Jagya changed because of the jhatkas given by gauri than because of anandi or ganga.

Basant did not change much. He just compromised. His basic nature remained the same. Authoritative, impulsive. It is Gehna who put up with him. Basant did whatever he did because of dadisa. When dadisa stopped giving her dictats, Basant also stopped getting signals to be rude.

Ratan changed because of mannu and he basically wanted mannu to have a better life.

Sanchi also changed because of the jhataks given by Saurabh and Ankita.

DB changed because all her tricks failed and she was self destructive because of her attitude. Anandi's goodness brought out the worst in her.

Akheraj. Will he change? If so how? He seems to be a hard nut. Let us wait and watch.

All of them are very strong individuals in their own ways.

We live in delusional world. We try to create mahaans out of individuals who are good and easily forgive and become good wives.We attribute to them everything.

Dadisa received lot of Jhatkas before Anandi came into her life too.She took them in her stride attributing them to fate and continued with her beliefs in traditions without ever questioning them.She got Suguna and Jagya married in childhood because that was the custom she was accustomed to she didn't find any reason to go against it and she also believed in it because if it had been happening for centuries then it must be good and that's how things are meant to be.

Everyone has to light up their own diyas.

Anandi is a fighter for social causes. And thats her card.

As for bringing change, it is upto the individual to change or not.

I am trying to deconstruct the myths about anandi and ganga.

Sanchi is educated but had very low regard for relationships, considered herself modern and believed in utilising all the right she got but never had a sense of responsibility.

The person who was responsible for giving Anandi a broader perspective was her Sandhya teacher.

Well, no body changes only because of one person or a particular situation. The transformation is a combination of one's current level of consciousness, positive influencers and circumstances. All of these have seen a steady growth in case of Dadisa, Jagya and Basant. Their evolving level ofconsciousness made them realize that they should embrace a positive change in their respective lives.And there is no doubt that Anandi was the biggest influencer in their lives with her constant positive presence, warm selfless demeanor and support.

In case of Ratan Singh, from his experience in jail, he could understand what he truly wanted. JaGan were a positive influencer in his life. After that whatever his did, it was for himself and not for Mannu, his self-consciousness rose to next level and he took the right step.

Sanchi, if not for her bhaiya and bhabhi would have ended up leading a miserable life. Her change was dramatic, her experiences didn't change her much, but she was remorseful only because of the constant positive influencer in the form of Anandi.

Akhiraj doesn't have any conscience, he is a male chauvinist and kind of a cowardly sociopath. First, he needs to be punished severely for his crimes.. Then, he might change in his old age may be after losing his son and leading life behind bars.

Positive influence helps when the other person is ready for it. Otherwise it is like pouring gangajal on sand.

The person concerned need to get some shock from persons whom he or she trusted and loved blindly.

Dadisa loved Jagya blindly and Jagya loved Gauri wih all his heart. Sanchi loved Saurabh and trusted ankita. When the trust or love is broken, the person needs some help emotionally or otherwise and that help helps the change. A sort of healing process.
