Monster Chase
I've never been this scared in my life. The last time I was half as scared was when the bigger monster was rotating me at top speed, tightening my muscles, squeezing my length into a tense ball.
And now, this monster is chasing me, in a steed no less! The monster is huge and furry. It's got white hair and a patch of black hair on its right eye. It looks like a dangerous pirate, but one who's not creating havoc in the sea, rather in a monster house.
I'm rolling on the floor, feeling dizzy as the monster is pushing me. The stupid furniture is coming in my path. I bang here and bang there and the monster has a good laugh!
I feel like vomiting, my muscles are loosening, the stiffness of my body is melting away, and I think I'm growing tall. Mother sure would have been proud, only if she weren't stitched up with that rough wool Uncle Staid in a sweater that stinks of Staid odour!
I have a plan.
I know I can't avoid rolling- for the monster is huge- but I can trick it. So I hold on to furniture pieces- with my body that's growing longer roll by roll – to create a web. C'mon monster, I yell secretly.
The monster raises its hand and runs behind me to give me another whack. But its too late, it's caught in the web, the web of my body!
Suddenly the monster that had squeezed my length into a ball appeared with a black box and began clicking away excitedly. The excited monster moved its joints and I heard something which sounded like, 'Kitty, look at you. You're stuck in the web of wool from the very yarn that you were chasing! Hahahaha'
Mom, I won! I bet my photo will be in the papers, because I think the monster is carrying a camera which lights up like a tube light!
I smile teasing my victim in monster lingo, 'Kitty, Na Na Na Na Na Na!' and roll about in celebration, not caring about how dizzy I feel.
Prompt: Write from the point of view of a yarn of wool being chased by a cat!
