Chapter 3

PLANS

After sitting their for some more time suddenly she remembered she had to go home. She had an appointment with the doctor Arnav must be waiting for her. She instantly got from their and rushed towards her way home. After a small drive she reached home where she found her husband waiting for her.

Arnav-"where were you...you know we have an appointment ,than?

Lavanya-"wo...I...I..."

Arnav-(with concern over his face)-"you seems to be disturbed...is everything fine"

Lavanya-"Nooo...wo..I..."

Arnav-"(cupping her face)-"I told you na... you don't need to worry about anything...we are going to the doctor right, than you just don't worry...I am here to take away all your worries..."

Lavanya just smiled a bit to ensure that she fine and Arnav just pecked her forehead. He took her hand in his moved out of the room. They got married 2 years back. Though it was an arranged marriage. Their families were good business friends and they wanted them to get married. Initially Arnav was ready for this but soon after the marriage he adjusted well.

Khushi was resting in her room when her younger sister Payal entered her room.

Payal-"Diii..."

Khushi-"Payall...and she sat on the bed as she heard her voice. A smiled came over her face. Her sister is her stress burster. Payal know well how to bring a smile over her sister's face. She came in and hugged her tight and sat next to Khushi on the bed.

Payal-"Ma told me that you have hurt yourself...just show me.."

Khushi-"no it was just an small accident...

"payal-"but I said just to show me.."

Khushi showed Payal her feet and she got angry looking at that. "this is small???" she asked

Khushi-" I am fine Payal, I had took the medicine , I'll be fine by tomorrow. Tell me how are your exams going ?"

Payal-"they are fine...you know I have maths tomorrow..."

Khushi-"than ..how are your preparations for it..."

Payal-"there's no need to prepare for it...my brain gets inactive looking at its books moreover you are not well"

Khushi-"I am extremely well...go and bring your books... "

Payal-"arrey di... I am telling you na,,,their's no need"

Khushi-"and I am telling you to bring your books...I just don't want you to pass...I want you to pass with good marks so that you may get admission in reputed university...no common just go..."

With a puppy face she left the room to bring her books. Khushi too sat down on the bed drank some water and got ready to teach her younger sister maths.

Arnav was waiting for Lavanya inside the doctor's cabin. The doctor had took her for some check ups.

He was nervous. He had promised her that he will make everything alright.his mind was occupied with all sorts of thoughts. He wanted the baby from so long but now every hope seems to fade away. This is their last hope now.

He was thinking about all this when doctor came out followed by Lavanya, she sat next to him and the doctor sat on her chair.

Arnav-"doctor, what is the problem"

Doctor-"I don't want to give you both any false hope now, but your wife cant conceive now"

Arnav-"but why??" Lavanya eyes were filled up with tears now.

Doctor-"Your wife has a major problem in her fallopian tubes and ovaries"

Arnav-"isn't their any cure of this"

Doctor-"no, Sir...Some problem in our body exists from our adolescence as in case of your wife so."

Arnav-"wha if we go for surrogacy ?"

Doctor-"you could have tried this but the ova produced by your wife are not healthy...So this is also not possible."

His every hope seem to have dies with every reply of the Doctor. He turned his face to his side to see welled up eyes of Lavanya. For the first time in life he felt so helpless. He had not only control himself but had to make his wife understand the situation too. He extended his hand forward to hold his wife's hand but she was in the no mood to listen anyone. She hurriedly got up from their and rushed to the lobby. He too stood up and followed her.

Arnav-(running after her)-"wait Lavanya...just stop!!!"

She stood their rooted holding a pillar for her support. She was crying badly.

Arnav kept his hand firmly over her shoulder to calm her down. "everything will be fine. Just relax" though he himself knew that there is no way out of this mess.

Lavanya-(sobbing hard) there is no way left. You have heard well what the doctor had just said. I can never be a mother."

Arnav-(embracing her firmly in his arms)-"calm down ...control yourself..."

Lavanya-"no...you were right... that I am getting what I always wanted...I am ..."

Arnav-(cutting her off in between and getting irritated with situation)-"come on now...I didn't mean anything what I said that day..."

Lavanya-"no..now you have to promise me..."

Arnav-"what??" surprised with the sudden demand of Lavanya"

Lavanya-" that you will get me a baby anyhow??"

Arnav-"we will see to it later...come on...lets go home now..."

They walked together towards the exit and sat in their car to reach home.

Days passed and the Lavanya had slightly recovered . her mind was only finding a way out of this mess. She just hope that whatever she had plan comes out well. She was just waiting for her manager to call. Her wait had finally been over when she sees her phone ringing.

Lavanya-"yes speak"

Manager-"ma'am we found about the girl you asked the information about"

Lavanya-"speak now"

manager- "ma'am she is a girl from our city itself. Her family's financial condition is not good. That's why she is searching for job. Her dad is is not well. She needs money for his operation too. Her mother does a small business which I guess could hardly meet their expenses."

Lavanya- "anything else ???"

Manager- "yes. She is very intelligent girl. She even gave interview in our company??"

Lavanya- "than??" getting very furious.

Manager-"she got rejected because she had rejected working out of the city."

Lavanya-"okay"

Manager -" she immediately needs money. She always valued her principle and morals."

Lavanya -"anything more"

Manager-"no ma'am , this is all I got to know"

Lavanya-"okay, good job and do remind me to give you bonus this month"

Manager-"sure ma'am" and she disconnected the phone thinking something.

No sooner Arnav entered the room and seeing her he sensed that she was still thinking the same. He sat beside her. His sudden entrance broke the trance of her thoughts.

Lavanya-"you are here...so early today??"

Arnav-"yeah...how are you now??"

Lavanya-"I guess you know it better"

Arnav-"stop being so kiddish everytime...be logical..wha are you saying is not possible at all"

Lavanya-"but what I am is saying is neither illegal nor impossible"(their was slight ander raising in her vice. She was trying to convince him over her some plans but he was not at all interested in atleast hearing her.)

Arnav-"what you want then..(anger going to ites peaks) you want me to have s*ex with any random girl and get you a baby...are you nuts?? Or have you lost the capacity to think???"

Lavanya-"you are misunderstanding me... I only meant that..."

Arnav-"(cutting her off in the middle)-I exactly know what you meant...(and without hearing another word he stormed out of the room.

Lavanya stood their weeping. She knew she is being selfish but she is not doing anything wrong indeed... The property is on the name of Arnav's child and she is in not able to conceive. So whoever be the mother atleast their property will remain theirs. But Arnav was not willing to understand her point of view. She cried a lot. The night went out crying but he didn't turned back home to see her.

Next day when he returned he saw her sleeping on the bed. He had realised that he had over reacted the past night. He sat down on the edge of the bed close to her. He gently caressed his hand over her hand not to disturb her.

As he kept his hand Lavanya immediateltly stto dup ."you are back" and she hugged him immediately"

He just nodded embracing her in his arms. " I shouldn't have reacted in this way..."

Lavanya-"no..you don't need to explain me anything...I am the one over expecting the things when I know that its not possible."

She was damn hurt with his every statement.

Arnva-"actually I was just pissed of with my work... I really didn't intended to hurt you like this"

Lavanya-"you didn't hurt me... you just show me the mirror every time . in which isee the bitter reality..."

Arnav-"I am sorry for that...I really didn't.."

Lavanya-"I said you don't need to be...(she defiantly know the skills to get the hold on her husband)

Arnav-"okay...fine..i am ready to do what you what"

Lavanya-"(breaking the hug and looking straight into his eyes) "really???" (she cant believe her ears

Arnav-"yes you heard it right...but only on a condition that it should not be illegal..moreover it should not hurt the sentiments of anyone.."

She hugged him tight and spoke-"you don't need to worry about anything. If you are ready than everything will be go as planned. I love you so much

(money wont hurt the sentiments of people. I'll pay her enough that she wont even think about her sentiments . money is something which can buy anything even the emotions...Lavanya thought inwardly)

arnav-"love you too"

(I don't know what I am doing is right or wrong...but all I want is to see my parents and everyone happy. I don't know where this is going to lead me but all I hope that I wont hurt anyone in this path of my greed)
