Waiting to be cast with Sonam', says Anil Kapoor

Mumbai: Anil Kapoor can still give the younger lot of actors a run for their money. Ahead of the release of Dil Dhadakne Do, the senior actor talks about his children, his work ethics and more.
Talking about his role of a patriarch in Dil Dhadakne Do, he says, "The character controls and rules the family. It's either his way or the highway. He is married but also has affairs... The film is real and entertaining. It has a lot of humour."
Still a sex symbol:
"In real life girls approach me a lot," says Anil, adding, "In our profession we are constantly under the glare. But one has to draw the line and make a decision... there's your wife and children. You either do something that gives you momentary pleasure or have a happy life. I have followed that all my life. I would be lying if I said that I was not distracted, but you have to make up your mind."
On experimenting:
"Most of the times when I have taken risks, it has paid off. People said a lot of things but I decided to go ahead. And when the risks paid off, people said I had great vision and that I was a game changer," he says. Anil says that this is the best phase of his life, "I have never felt so good about myself and my career. I am always looking for challenges. The role has to attract me."
Kids' support:
Anil is all praises for the support and opinion of his three children, Rhea, Harsh and Sonam, he says, "When I was doing Slumdog Millionaire, Harsh and Rhea had a big hand in my decisions. Sonam also gave me feedback. They are my reality check."
He adds that him and Sonam being on screen together would be a great proposal. "Zoya (Akhtar) was clear that she would not cast us together. But I am waiting for someone to cast us both in a film. We are open to doing a film with a good story."
On Sonam and Rhea:
"Sonam is something very special, so wait and watch. She is very generous. She is a big star but she is different. This is just the beginning," he says. On his younger daughter Rhea, whose next film will have music by A.R. Rahman, he says, "I am proud and have heard the music. It's fantastic. But Sonam is not a part of it. She is doing two films and will be producing it."
