I love how Manik's inner kid, which he had to suppress at a young age, only comes out around Nandini. Kehneko toh Fab5 were his life and people who knew him the best, but he reserves all his nakhres, nautanki, zidd and bachpana for Nandu only 😳

LOL you know what's funny to me is that I generally HATE cliches of this sort...Romeo-Juliet and all toh chalo classic so you sort of let it be in that context but it's hard to translate these things into contemporary stories without looking cheesy or contrived...yet somehow in MaNan's case, it doesn't look contrived...

And there I'd mainly credit the acting...Manik has this way of looking at her window so forlornly that you see and understand his NEED for Nandu...a glimpse of her, the reassurance that she will come down for him, the restlessness in his eyes as he waits for her looking up at the window and the RELIEF in his eyes everytime she shows up...the smile that displays all his love for her...I love this pattern...they have repeated it n number of times in the show but they nail it every single time...so kuch toh baat hai...generally lightening doesn't strike twice anywhere...but these ppl somehow manage to nail this bit every single time😆...I think keeping innocence consistent is a hard thing in a story anywhere but that is what these two manage remarkably. Ek woh jo maasoomiyat hoti hai jo dil ko chhu jaati hai...
Kitnaaa beautiful words
I think most people in general dislike cliches of this sort cause they have been used and abused so many times in movies and shows. But MaNan have this way of subverting cliches that doesn't automatically make you roll your eyes or cringe, not saying EVERY time but most of the time 😆
Lol PaNi ki acting ka toh MashAllah! We know they nail the intense and emotional scenes very well, especially in the recent episodes followed by the kidnapping, but I've always felt they shine the most in these understated scenes. Like you know where they have to emote through their eyes and body language, even if the scene isn't that important to the script the moment stands out cause they make the scene flow and make it look effortless!
p.s: don't laugh at me if you're not in a mushy mood today 😆 I was rewatching the old epis and now I am in one!

@red: I think that pretty much sums up why so many of us have stuck with the show through all the ups and downs no?

LMAO@ that blingee😆😆...I laughed for a good 10 minutes...thanks for this...lol

@blue: I don't even need to be in a mushy mood to agree with that wholeheartedly😆...exactly, their chemistry is well established anyways but they truly win me over when they nail the understated scenes in such a natural way and time and again find a way to make you BELIEVE in MaNan...

+1 about MaNan managing to subvert many cliches...again I think it's cuz of how PaNi approach them😆

And lol yes I guess that last line just came to me as I was watching this week's epis...Nandu is looking more innocent than ever in that braid and it reminds me of old epis...and yes you can call it paradoxical in nature that despite the number of "intimate" scenes they have executed on MaNan, it is their core INNOCENCE that truly strikes a chord with the audience at large...it's innocence but not contrived innocence...that is why I said maasoomiyat...cuz when it's HONEST, that is when it strikes a chord.
