Because in reality the day since when my journey started I got the opportunity to represent India and that was 20 years ago when Miss India was announced. And the most beautiful blessing of my life at public platform was that, it remains to be a strong part of who I am. Then maybe I become an actor or whether I work for charities or receiving awards or a serious women issue forums." She further adds, "Each time my representation has never been at individual level I always feel I am representing a lot more. I always feel I am representing being Indian right from the beginning. And in response, I receive a positive energy and that's why probably I have such a wonderful connect with my audience all over the world."
At the recent Cannes International Film Festival, apart from Aishwarya, also seen walking the red carpet were Sonam Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. When asked did she interact with the two actresses, she said, "Unfortunately, I didn't get the opportunity to interact with them as we all arrived at different dates." The actress is all set to make her comeback in the industry with Sanjay Gupta's upcoming film Jazbaa, which also stars Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. Besides these, she will be also working with her dear friend Karan Johar for the first time in upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. In the past, the Karan and Aishwarya were about to team up for three projects, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Dostana but unfortunately, according to the reports, Aishwarya had to reject the offers due to date issues.
