Lootera might be a masterpiece but it's music wasn't something that appealed to everyone. Also promos, trailers - people didn't feel excited!

WOM was also mixed...

Thats why it flopped

Swades released way ahead of its time I think.

If it was released NOW, audience would have embraced film with love and affection and surely film could have been BB

I get your point but I am really confused as some say that why should Khans do quality films as audience didnt watch when they attempted to make one. I dont get that point, why didnt the audience watch the movie even if it was good? And i also think SRK can give successful quality movies e.g Chak De India and My Name Is Khan so its a lame excuse to say SRK is not making these type of movie because unfortunately one Swades flopped.

Fact that SRK has stopped doing films is because he has LOST the passion. He has become more of business man and less of actor.

Fan and Rees anyways seem to be good films in terms of content, so I think he has come to his sensibility that all type of films are expected untill its good

As of Salman, he has stopped trying. He was very weak actor since starting. Yes he was good in romance and comedy and action but thats it. He knows his acting skills arent strong and so tries to just performer and not actor.
