The duo cleared all their differences at the recently held Piku success bash. Read on to know more...
Things had turned sour between Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali when the latter finalisedRanveer Singh and Deepika Padukone for Bajrao Mastani. Apparently, KJo was keen on casting the two for his long stalled film Shhuddhi but Bhansali, without taking his consent, announced the two for his ambitious project. This later paved way to an unending war of words between the two. First, KJo initiated the fight stating, "There's no reason for me to speak to him(Bhansali) about Shhuddhi. He didn't discuss the Bajirao Mastani announcement with me." In another interview, Johar also said that SLB has gone into a space of negativity and darkness'
Following which, Bhansali then retorted, "I've never understood why someone, who you think is a friend, would publicly talk ill about you. I had my cast in place, so I didn't need Karan's permission. I've never had an ambition to become the most powerful man in the industry." The bitterness continued to stay for the subsequent months.
Thankfully, equations have finally changed. During the recent success bash of Deepika Padukone's Piku, Bhansali and Karan decided to bury the hatchet. They hugged and happily interacted for a good half an hour or so. Says a source, "They looked at each other...And just smiled. It was as if they had never fought. They spoke for a good 30 minutes about everything, from current films to their past differences. By the time they were ready to go home, all was well."
Karan took to Instagram and shared their back-together' picture. Whereas Bhansali spoke to a leading daily and confirmed, "It's nice when you meet old friends. and start over as if you'd never fought. The bitterness is behind us now, for good."
