let the industry suffer, these people deserve it

Yes they spend countless of hours making a movie but still they make shit. Just because you work hard doesn't mean you will become successful. Every Indian works hard and when he buys a ticket he is looking to be entertained and not having useless ugly creatures having no acting talents being shoved down his/ her throat.
Industry needs to go go beyond this fat turned slim star kids and bring in some real talent. Otherwise people will only go to watch the 3 khans.

Also need to stop this south remake. Its gone too old. Need some fresh idea and not recycled crap made on a bigger budget.

Exactly and audience is hungry for new content. I recently watched 'Rahasya' and it was much better than all the recent movies but unfortunately it wasn't marketed well as there are no stars in it but I hope these movies succeed so they make more of it.

So far, I've loved "dum laga ke haisha, badlapur, baby, rahasya'

Like Bollywood cares for anyone other than themselves. They make remake of anything they can get their clutches on.

Why exception for three khans, there are the masters of churning out shit movies. They should be banned first. At least anurag tried to give audience some alternative to garbage. He is the one who gives chances to promising technicians, not family members n extended family members. If people like him is crushed , so is good cinema and those 100s of newage cinema and small budget movies which phantom produces. There thousands waiting in line to be in his next , much more promising actors than a baby of bollywoodwala.

Nobody knows which way the audience will swing. In business terms "supply and demand" for safety. "Innovate and enter new territory" risk-tycoon business. Both these approaches had their fair share of successes and failures. A scientist would fail 1000s time b4 he gets the right formula. His assistants wud get it always right coz they know the microscope. THEY r both needed for a healthy process. BUT the assistant will become millionaire and the scientist will go back to his lab. 😆
The way PK ended last year was so difficult to follow up. But we r in first half of the year which is normally bad for BW. Its not as bad if we see some not-so-big starrers and hutke films became hits. Thats a good sign. Only that BV is a such a disaster, this year looks all doomed for BW.

Who to blame? Ask urself everybody. Those amazing films who have watched on computer and blown away by it... why didnt u go to theatre? and those crapiest films U spent ur weekend expenses and wanted to get out half way? Is that makers fault or ur fault?

As Ajay D said in Gangajal (what a speech that was).. U get the society U want. Wanna change the society, change urself. Like Gandhiji said, be the change u want in others.

Back to business. Its time for BW to categorize- Masses, classes or/and both, and we need an independent cinema goers like "Rialto" who wants to see those films made by the directors regardless of whoz the actor. Coz normally they watch it on small screen and just wonder how awesome it wud be on big screen.

Cater to ppl's choice. Dont make a khichdi. Stay true to ur genre and what u promise.

Baki uperwale uper chhod do. Vo bhi aaj tak na aurat, na audience ko pehchan paya

Khans aren't exceptions and are churning out horrible movies. Dhoom 3, HNY, any salman's film post dabbng, etc. But we cannot ignore the fact that these guys are the real superstars and can draw audience. So they aren't going anywhere because nobody is coming up.

As for AK, his other films were experimental. Black Friday, No smoking, Gulaal, etc. Bombay Velvet was nothing new. Nothing made sense. He just picked cliched plots and presented it in grand scale.

Bollywood has lost its path in the labyrinth that it has created for itself.Power vests in the hands of a few who are eroding the credibility built over a century of hard work. Nepotism is the bane
of a once vibrant industry built up by carpetbaggers who came in from the cold to this Mecca of dreams. Today the doors to this world are shut and the dreams belong to only those on the inside.Even the brave few who manage to sneak in by dint of hard work and sheer brilliance are swallowed up by the hawks.Anurag Kashyap was good as long as he kept himself away from them. The debacle of BV has been cannily dumped on his shoulders while the
insiders rally around to protect their own.
The Czar of BW even got himself launched as an actor in BV where if he failed the blame would rest firmly on the "outsider's" shoulder and he would not hurt himself with this experiment. He is on record in a post BV interview where he rejoices that this effort was not his bread and butter! That according to him justifies using AK for his trial.
Would love to see KJo provide a launch pad to so many talented youngsters knocking at the sealed doors of Bollywood before Bollywood eclipses itself to doom. The warning signals are here for the rational to see ...only the delusional hide like ostriches behind designer glares and their overblown egoes.

Ranbir is not perturbed by Bombay Velvet failure; gets support from family and Katrina

The a
bove lucidly explains the present day BW scenario. The star who is touted to take over from SRK is not perturbed with the failure of his latest blockbuster where so much and so many rested on his starry shoulders. He is complacent in his reactions as his "family" & girl friend are there to support him whatever he churns out . He sheds no remorse for his legion of fans who actually made him a star. Not even a cursory apology and promise to redeem their faith in him in future projects.
Family has become supreme and may be the death knell of this once vibrant industry.

I maybe wrong but as per my observation, the masses watch shit movies to escape helplessness when the country goes through bad times. When times were not so bad, bollywood went through a similar bad year some time in 2000s and that's when Indie cinema started to evolve too because no hero/budget was able to guarantee success. Then when country started going down and the common man had no hope left, they went back to watching crap escapist cinema .. no matter how bad it was. Since last year, there is a new hope for future and faith in the government, and again the crap films have started to be rejected by people because they don't just want to watch a film for the sake of watching a film to escape the stress of their real lives.
