Anas Rashid a well known name in the television industry playing Suraj in Diya aur baati hum like the character a shy simple down to earth person came to Mumbai in 2005 trying his luck. After many hardships and struggles he got his break through with Kahin to hoga. Like Suraj with sincerity and dedication he worked in his other shows Prithviraj Chauhan and Aise karo na vidaa. After king after prince he waited for nine months to play this jilebi wala with the stern belief that
this role will take him to the new height in his carreer

The love and respect Anas has for his parents especially for his Ammy is phenomenal. He trusts the advice and guidance of his mother will never ever take him in the wrong path. He feels mothers are precious, His love and care towards his siblings as a big brother is unconditional. The same quality we see with Suraj. His love and bonding with his mother touches our heart whenever we see Suraj and Baboo onscreen together

Seeing Anas/ Suraj with children is a treat always. Anas says children are his weakness. That inbuilt affection towards children of Anas gave us the rare opportunity to see Suraj and Vedh bonding onscreen. This unique love was like a magnet draws so many hearts to fall in love with them

Insults humiliation and hurt is not new for Suraj. Same goes with Anas. Suraj with a golden heart survived with all these and with his smile he forgave and forgot what others did for him. In this cut throat industry with people around you ready to stab you at the back defame you demean you evry time like a phoenix bird he rose up in the air with a extra large heart to forgive them and move on with his life.

Now Suraj is on a new mission chasing his dream which is not going to be easy. But with his trust and hardwork with the wishes and prayes of his loved ones he will acheive it one day. Same way Anas this Punjab ka puththar will reach his milestone with flying colors and will capture his well desrved place in this industry and make his country men proud of him.
