because as per his ideals, Swara comes from a Bengali family which he considers a low-class family..so interacting with them might decrease his reputation as a Marwadi Pradhan!!🤣

i guess its becoz she is shekhar's illegitimate child and DP being hard on principles and traditions looks at her as an insult to the family. also he is hostile towards her Bengali background coz there is a huge cultural difference among them.
