The wedding of Lady Diana and the Prince of Wales was the love story of the decade. But the seemingly-perfect fairy-tale was destined not to have a storybook ending. The marriage broke down in acrimony and with revelations of infidelity on both sides. The couple's separation and divorce seriously damaged the monarchy itself. For Diana it was a painful process which led to depression - for which she claimed she got no support from the royal family. Just as it seemed that Diana, Princess of Wales, had found new love, she died in a car crash on Sunday, August 31, 1997. The Princess's new friend, Mr Dodi Fayed, and the driver of the car, died in the accident as well; a bodyguard was seriously injured.

got nothing more to add! but on a related note- it saddens me that a person who had everything a woman dreams of, had no happiness in her heart. Quite amazingly, still she touched so many hearts with her kindness! May she rest in peace !!

well depends on each person.

I do care, coz we lost a good human being. and who are spreading hatred are still sitting in this world, doing nothing but spreading disharmony in ppl!! so yes it matters. the moral of the story is not to marry in royal family coz u will die early but to be in a royal family and do something more constructive. or live a useful life, a life which is more useful to the other ppl then yourself!

and it is a hint to Media too. to stay within limits and not cross the privacy line. or we can loss a valuable personality!!

well said qt, and i totally agree with you, she did touch many peoples heart although she was never happy as you said. i remember she used to be in the news every day and they would potray her unhappy picture. very sad. May her soul rest in peace.

Yeah depends on person to person, let her soul rest in peace, atleast after 10 years there are other things in life to think about and spend resources for.As you pointed out less people spreading harmony, so invest in something that can futuristically atleast give some hope in continuining path of harmony, rather then jsut remembering her for next 60 odd years.

Media has no whatsoever concern, they made and are making big time on her... as if media took lesson out of this tragedy... I doubt.

why whats wrong in remembering her for next 60 odd years?? if you (as in general) can remember hitler, and keep giving his examples and what not till date. then why can't we remember someone who actually did something good. and try to follow her footsteps. and remember her.

I think what she did is more motivating and closer to heart. then what Hitler did. why do we still talk about chinggis khan?

I think now a days media have cheap kind of jurnelism...media now a days doing inquire pointlessly into someone's personal life.. media must be aware that personal relationships with news sources can erode into favoritism...I think diana is gr8 personality...she is people's princess...Diana managed to sell herself as both a victim of discrimination, from her husband's side of the family and the media.... 😳

In Diana's case paparazzi is not to be blamed. It was a preplanned political murder.

The accident was caused by Royal family with the help of British and French police. Diana was going to make a major announcement the day after, that she is pregnant with Dodi's baby and that she is giving up royal life to marry him. That is why her body was embalmed immediately to avoid any kind of tests which reveals her pregnancy. The lights in the tunnel where the accident happened suddenly stopped working 15 mins before crash. Another White Uno collided with their Merc and the bike preceding them flashed bright light on Dody's driver. Another police stayed behind at the entrance of tunnel. Paparazzi were nowhere near the tunnel at that time. The ambulance which carried Diana with an Oxygen mask reached the hospital after taking many halts. The hospital too was not the nearest one.

Diana surely was a woman with charisma.
