Looks like Salman recieved a low rate. Top lawyers in this country do charge above 30 lakhs a day. All the cost of travelling and with stay in five stars have to be given by the party representing them.A top lawyer generally travels with few junoir lawyers as well so their stay and travel has to be arranged as well.

The lawyers rate varies according to paying capacity of the party. Some times big lawyers charge very less in the name of legal assistance. I am no advocate or lawyer but I do know little bit about lawyers and their fees.
