i see people moaning about Prashant getting highest numers of vote and saying that he will never be a good singer but at the same time they talk as if Amit and Emon are very good singers and even though they don't win they will be succesful in future. Those who feels this way, OPEN YOUR EYES. We have seen it may times that none of the Indian idol participant or sa re ga ma pa participant has ever been succesful as a playback singer. No matter who wins or loose in this indian idol, noone of them will be a playback singer. Actually, Prashant is the one that might be the playback singer. WHY?

Because his voice quality is very good, his voice sounds soooooo good in romantic songs and their isn't anyone in the industry who have the same voice as Prashant. EMon sounds like a poor Sonu Nigam, as long as he is there who will risk giving Emon chance to sing a song for their movie? Both Amit and Emon are trained singer so there is very less room for them to improve whereas Prashant can improve very drastically as a singer. REMEMBER: you can learn to sing in sur and taal with hard work, but you will never get a surila sur because it is good gift. that is why Prashant is the one that has the bright future.

Just take last season for example, Sonu Nigam was such a great fan of Karuniya and Anu Malik used to call a girl from Rajashtha that he has got his playback singer. But where are the now? In sa re ga ma pa , Viinet was so much loved by Himesh and he used to say that he will always be there for him, but where is veenit now?

so open your eyes because as long as there is Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, Sukhwinder, Shaan, Kay kay, and some other singers in the industry no music director will risk to give Indianl Idol contestants a chance. You will only get the chance if you have different voice and at the moment , Prashant is the one that has different voice and Amit has it too to some extent.

get one 'fact' straight though, amit is NOT a trained singer...he has never had any formal training.
but to talk about other talented contestants not making a mark in the industry and then saying prashant is the only one with a bright future (other singers with 'unique' voices and 'good voice quality' have come and gone from these shows too right?)speak of your bias 😊

Prashant, Ankita, Puja, Chang & Amit will get more work than the other contestants, IMO. Why? Their voices are original. New. Fresh. You don't have to love their voices, but at the end of the day, they have their own sound. I'm not a fan of some of the people I mentioned, but I can see them carving their own niche in the music industry. Chang, Amit & Prashant have a new sound. You can't REALLY compare them to any of the current play back singers. Ankita & Puja don't really have conventional voices. I can see both doing some highly stylized work. Like singers like Suzanne & Anushka Manchanda are doing these days.

On Indian Idol 1, Anu Malik "found" his playback singers in Amit Sana, Rahul Vaidya, Prajakta Shukre, Aditi Paul & Rahul Saxena..... He never used the latter two, while the formers, he gave hardly one? two? three songs?

On Indian Idol 2, Anu Malik again "found" his playback singers in N.C. Karunya, Amey Date, Antara Mitra, Meenal Jain & Monali Thakur. Where are they? I believe Antara & Meenal refused to sign exclusive contracts.

I don't even want to talk about SRGMP because I'm not too familiar, but it's all big talk, if you ask me. They promise these singers the world & what do they get in return? Where are all those singers?

Sony-BMG gave all the contestants[barring Abhijeet Sawant] a very raw deal. Amit Sana got an album full of covers.... his second album is indefinitely been delayed. Rahul Vaidya's album got appreciated, I believe, but they didn't give him a second album, I think. Prajakta's album was so sickeningly delayed that by the time her album came about, people were like "Prajakta who?" and poor Aditi.... she never got an album only. They just signed these contestants, and ruin their careers.

Karunya sang for lage raho munnabhai and just released his album. Hmm. sounds like he is getting recognized. If you expect a singer to get famous in a night then OPEN YOUR EYES. Sonu waited for a decade till he hit a jackpot with Anu Malik.
