Ankita was superb - Page 2

Not to say she was bad but but why she just wants to sing item songs because she is good in emoting that type of songs. She can perform and people will just look at her like kids looking at a piece of candy.

Entertainment doesn't mean item songs. I can enjoy some songs without worrying about how they were picturized.

A pick a few:
1. Piya bina ( from Abhimaan)
2. Dil doondat hai fir vahi
3. Ey ajnabi
4. Hamma hamma

and more...
I mean the way these songs are sung, you could feel the emotions without someone seeing perform.

No offense but these qualities are very rare to see nowadays. One song which could come a bit close to my heart but only partially:

Mere hath me tera hath ho ( Part sung by shreya Khoshal, I just wait for the
"Jinte paas paas dhadkan ke hai raaz, jitne paas boodon ke badal
Jaise Saath saath chanda ke hai raat , utne paas nainon ke kajal
Jitne paas paas sagar ke leher, utne paas tu rahena humsafar

Tu jo pass ho phir kya ye jahan Tere pyar mein ho jao Fanaa"

I mean this part has been sung with such a beauty that heart melts wish the whole song was like that only.

Not to mention Beedi jalaylke from Omkara is just superb too where you don't have to see it to feel it.

Anyways I just feel that these singers have a long way to go to reach that perfection and they are on right track. So best wishes.

Same here. I was so scared for her, I know people will be ready to bash her if she messes up. BUT SHE WAS MINDBLOWING MAHIYA yaar.

You are right Ankita was superb today. She took the stage , the audience and the viewers .HATS OFF TO HER but still II3 is for versitality but not item #s.
