It started with three words...the three simple words that since eons and ages have changed lives of lovers...I Love You...the words that Manik took months to say...and Nandini took months to hear...but it was a lifetime wrapped in a moment!! It was a moment when time stood still, suspended at the edge of past and present and future!! The past of two strangers, that started at the same place, with a jar of fireflies!! The past of two opponents, two antagonists, filled with hate and bitterness and hurt and agony!! Also the present of two lovers, a present filled with love, trust, hope, faith, dreams, adoration, friendship...all the positives that finally overcome the negatives!! And finally the edge of future...the best which is yet to come!!
I Love You...HAMESHA!! FOREVER!! Such a small word and yet it is heavy with promises of a lifetime, filled with bonds lasting eternity!! The epic words, finally uttered in the silence of the night, glowing with true love, shining under the light of a million stars!! Two souls pledging themselves to each other!! The ultimate expression of love, the final frontier of confession and expression, the overwhelming feeling that could not be controlled or contained any longer...the sentiment that had to flow!! With those words they confirmed what destiny had planned!! With those words, they sealed their connected fates!!
The words that compelled her to rush to him, on wings of happiness, and offer herself to him!! The shy, nervous girl, forgetting everything, and giving in, to her love for him!! She wanted to express, all that she felt in that moment, all that overwhelmed her senses and burst forth from her tiny heart, but words were not enough, they never are!! And so comes an expression, timeless, ancient, as primitive as nature and creation itself...when even language and words were not invented...bodies still communicated, souls still sang, hearts still harmonized!! As old as the moon, yet as new as the fresh drops of dew each morning..a language spoken by one and all, and yet unique and rare!!
They needed it, as much as they needed to breathe, as much as they needed to live...they needed this... kiss!! It was not physical, it never was...this need to belong, to possess, to give everything and to demand everything!! The urge to absorb each other, the desire to be one, the expression that only lips can share!! But it was above and beyond just a meeting of lips, it was the fusion of two souls, the agreement sealed by two hearts, is was the tie that bonds two lives together...forever!!
(And I being no saint...have to say...WHOA...WHAT WAS THAT!! Parth and Niti...take a bow!! It was steamy and sensuous yet aesthetic!! It is hard, really really hard, to perform such intimate scenes in front of a whole crew, that too for such young actors, but to let go of personal inhibitions and embarrassments and perform...👏👏 A zillion thank yous!!)
They lost count of time and place and themselves too...so lost in each other!! But sanity had to tip toe and whisper in their ears...it being the troublemaker!! And so when it finally ended, coz u see they were actually running out of breath..😃😉...the blushes and flushes took over!!! She couldn't look him in the eye, shy and awkward...she just couldn't face him cause she had done with him what the straight laced Nandini Moorthy had never dreamt of doing with any man, kissed her heart away!! But she was not sorry, not regretting her sheer outburst of love and desire...nope...just shy!! And he looked...smitten!! He couldn't believe what had just happened...his demure girl..set the demons of desire on a wild goose chase!! Wow...always knew she could surprise but...really???? She kissed his life away...and he stood there dazed...all his love pouring from his eyes...!! Unsure, hesitant..yet understanding her shyness...her embarrassment...he knew what and how she was feeling!! All he wanted was to see her, assure her, it was fine...it was okay...heck he loved her...
She tries to escape..but the smile on her face won't!! The smile of genuine happiness, that nothing could wipe off her face!! I am his...and he is mine...all mine...we belong!! He said so...and I showed him so!! That silly grin won't be wiped off...it was joy...unbound, unfelt, unadulterated bliss!!
Nandini...he tried to stop her...to ease the awkwardness...but she was not ready!! Hmmm...what was that..Manik?? Such a romantic setting and such weird things...but guess its MaNan so has to be different, unique!! Of course her monster's planning had to be unique coz the guy was anything but ordinary!! He got distracted...oh yeah?? We never noticed 😃😆!! Bet...he got distracted...the way she kissed him...he was bound to lose whatever senses he had managed to hold on to!! He teases her and she looks away...such a sweet moment!! A shared intimacy, a private moment in memory...a cherished kiss that will warm the cockles of their heart and curl her toes when she is 70 and thinking about how he had proposed...
Coming back...(damn if I am not distracted today too😆)...he starts on his routine!! Going down on his knee...(what is it with this stance...its so clichd..so seen...but yet every time a guy goes down on his knee in front of his girl...the whole world goes...AWWW!!), and says some more memorable words...I know you think we are connected by destiny...but I want to give it a name...its LOVE!! SIGH!! I want to start a new journey as lovers!! A fresh start!! I bet he is the only guy in the world who said all this on his knee...with an egg in his hand...while she looks on bemused!! 😆 (but you know what Manik...we love and more importantly she loves every step of your journey...every footfall of love and hate, friendship and enmity and she wont change anything for the world) And as generous as he is...he gives her an open offer...whatever the distance, the speed, the aim, the angle...girl...you can just go ahead and pelt me with it..I deserve it all!! 😆 And knowing his tiny girl...he had thought of all the provisions too...if you miss...no probs...u see I have a box full of them and also have tons of patience now...so you can keep practicing the whole night...I promise I won't budge or complain!! AWWW...sho sho cute!! And the monster always had a big heart and a bigger mind...so he has other heart warming schemes...if not this...what about trying some recipes on me...or better still you can try putting some ice cream somewhere and I can lick it off..err...I meant wipe it off...!! He has thought of everything...she can have her revenge...he was such a cad...such a monster to his girl...he simply doesn't deserve her...
Ask anything from me and I will give it to you...he promises!! But then he falters...please don't ask for something precious..like Appa's pen...coz I won't be able to give you that!! Why she wonders aloud?? The rich, wealthy spoilt brat...who has everything in the world...has nothing precious in his life...nothing ...but her! You Nandini, are his world...you are his most precious possession...his most precious belonging!! You, are the only one he holds dear..dearer than the world, dearer than life!! He cannot, he simply cannot part from you..or give you away!! To me these words, said casually, felt more important than the confession...coz in it ssimplicity lies true love...in its starkness lies the desperation of love...i have nothing but you...and you I will never give...
She walks away then, with a mischievous and enigmatic smile...while he prepares himself for the onslaught!! Manik Bachchu marega...finally paying for his bad Karma...well look on the bright side...when life gives you eggs...you better make some omlettes!! The cute monster and the faces he makes...you would think he was standing in front of the firing squad!! Clenching his fists...preparing himself for the worst ordeal of his life...😆!! Eyes closed...body rigid with tension...and his mobile face...giving off adorable expressions ..a dozen per second...while she looks on and laughs on...!! Here they go..ready ...steady...OK...here it comes...wait...what...hey...it didn't come??? Her aim can't be that bad...after all she hit me every single time...HELLO???
He opens a wary eye...and she is standing there...with an egg in her hand and a naughty yet wise smile on her face!! Repeating the same mistakes again?? Why should they?? She very quietly, yet very maturely and wisely says something that is the essence of MaNan..actually the essence of every couple...She is imperfect and so is he...they have made mistakes and will do so...but together these two imperfects...are perfect!! He is incomplete and so is she...but when they come together...they are finally complete!! For those who are always busy pointing out his mistakes and for those who are occupied in finding faults with her...playing the blame game...herein lies the answer...they both are imperfect...but together ...PERFECT!!
So, all his efforts went down the drain...😆!! She did not give him an egg bath or feed him impossibles or freeze him with ice cream droppins...(he was disappointed I could tell...used to mud fights..he was hoping to get ickier and luckier this time too...😃)!!
Picture Perfect...the next frame!! So relaxed, so lost...so belonging to each other...two lovers...in their own world...oblivious to everything and anything!! Their hands spoke such a gorgeous language...playing, caressing, entwining, lacing, fingers!! Serene, finally at peace with themselves and with each other...with no one to intrude on their private paradise...!! Their hands entwined, playing, drawing circles...their bodies blending in each other!! Such ease, such comfort, they fit in like two pieces of a universal puzzle. She is looking at the glowing fireflies...mindlessly...unconsciously printing on his palm, what lies in her mind...what brims in her heart...her love for him!! The words that won't come...but the feelings that won't go...she confesses her love...literally puts her heart in the palm of his hand...and he knows!! He knows it all...he understands..he senses..cause he does not need any words either!! Even before he asks he knew the answer...finally!! The secret of the fire flies was not revealed...was never told...it was simply understood!! (and I always wanted that...I wanted Manik to know before she told him...and he did..full marks to my cutie pies)!! But he had to tease...he had to pull her dainty leg...😆..so off he goes about secrets kept that waste precious time...the monster with the one track mind...it had to lead to all the stuff they could have done by now...OH...wishful thinking..he can never behave, can he??😉
He needs those words from her...her confession!! Manik knows his Nandini loves him...to the ends of the earth..he knows it like he knows his heartbeart...!! She loves him more than any other person on this earth...she loves him more than any one has ever done so before...he trusts her love more than he trust his...yet...he wants those words...he craves, desires, needs those words...to make his world perfect!! The sound of her love will finally fill his heart, flooding every corner of his being...and he knows she is too shy...too nervous...too awkward to say it soon! He could help...he so wants to help...he will ease her...help her...but he wanted those words...
And she needs to run...run from a monster prying and demanding her biggest secret...the biggest truth of her existence...she cannot ...she simply cannot express what she felt for him...not now...may be never...!! It was too hard...too...unnerving...her shy 17 year old teenager heart escapes...and he holds her back!! Gentle, as the wisps of cotton that lay a fairy's cradle...he kisses her...her back, her shoulder!! Pure and fragile...so comforting, so soothing..yet so unsettling...making her lose her senses...she feels her control slipping by...the butterflies dancing away in her stomach...as she rushes before its too late...
She hides, what he seeks!! She cherishes, what he relishes...she won't say what he wants to hear!! She is testing his patience, his annoyance, his irritation...his anger...or may be his love??? He will always find her...wherever she might hide...he will always find his Nandini!! Cause they remember...together they are perfect!!
Such a gorgeous night, such a romantic setting...a perfect date!! Two lovers...destined!! Two souls ...fated!! And a more than perfect confession!! An expression that took everyone's breath away!! A love that will be remembered for a long long time, a love story that will be etched in our hearts forever!! A night that Manik and Nandini will always pause on, when they turn the pages of their love story!! And I will never again say that perfection is boring...PERFECT!!
P.S..I am like an ostrich with its head buried in sand...or may be like MaNan lost in paradise...I refuse to talk about ba@#$%*#S...and Bit@#*%...and new entries that might rock their world...I just don't want to talk about any negatives today...nope...today belongs to Manik and Nandini and their love...the rest can rot in hell!!
PPS...I am in the war zone..😃...so please don't be offended if I don't respond!! Please for Manik and Nandini's sake ...forgive me!!
