She looks up and finally notices HIM. She was taken aback; all she could do was stare at him open-mouthed. He was beaming with happiness. He winks at her which finally makes her come out of her shock.
"Nachiket, what are you doing here? Mere bed pe kya kar rahe ho?" she asked incredulously.
"Ragini, main tumhare room mein hun, so it is pretty obvious ki main tumse milne aaya hun! Aur rahi baat bed ki.. tum chahti ho main kisi aur ke bed pe jau?" he teased.
"Nachiket!! Tum kya bakwaas kiye ja rahe ho!" she said. He gets up from the bed and comes near her.
"Tumhari engagement hai kal kisi aur ke sang aur tum yaha aise.." she murmurs and loses her voice as he kept walking towards her. She could see in his eyes, his intentions clearly. She starts taking small steps backwards as he moved towards her. Not even for a second did he look anywhere but her eyes since she entered the room. His continuous stare intimidated her.
"Nach..Nachiket.. tum.. yeh.." she stammered as she finally reached the end of the room and now was standing against the wall behind her. He doesn't stop at all, and finally stands in front of her; inches apart. He puts his hand on the either side so she could not escape his hold this time. This was it he had to say it to her; he had to make her understand that he was hers forever.
"Nach-"she started. He puts his fingers on her lips and says,
"Shh.. tum kitna bolti ho Ragini.. ek baar meri bhi toh baat sun lo."
She looks at him innocently; he takes her right hand in his and says,
"Haan kal meri engagement hai Ragini... aur jiske saath hai woh mere saamne khari hai. I love you, Ragini. Mere dil mein sirf tum ho Ragini.. aur tumhari jagah koi bhi nahi le sakta. Yes, I had proposed to Nivideta but I was drunk and I thought you had moved on... par woh toh dikhawa tha na? You love me too... and you know it.. toh phir hum kyu ek sang nahi reh sakte?" he said softly.
She looked at him innocently, melting with each of his words. He starts caressing her wrists; before she could say anything he continues,
"I know what you will say.. that I promised Nivideta and one shouldn't break his promise.. but hamne bhi toh ek dusre se kaafi waadein kiye the.. saath rehne ki...rishtey nibhane ki... Kya humne woh sab nahi tode pichle 15 saalo mein?"
"Nachiket par.." he shushed her again. He finally bends down on one knee; takes out a ring from his back pocket and says,
"Ragini Patel, kya tum firse Ragini Khanna banna pasand karogi? Will you be mine, again?" he asked huskily.
Looking at the love in his eyes, his kind words and his gesture she could not resist herself from this happiness. She sobs gently and nods a yes. He puts the ring on her finger and sighs with relief; grinning broadly. He kisses her hands and gets up. She hugs him immediately without wasting any other minute.
"I love you, Nachiket." she whispered in his ears.
"I know." he responded which made her loosen the hug and smack him as she wanted to hear him say something else. He chuckled and pulls her towards him again embracing her in his arms.
"I mean.. I love you too." he said and kisses her hair. She tightens her hold around him bringing him closer to her further so that there was no space between them.
