Hi All,

Just finished watching all the episodes and found Reporters quite refreshing and really "Different" in true sense of the word. A snapshot of my thoughts on the characters and the serial.

Good - Wide spectrum of chracters
Boss The unknown factor#1 of the story so far. Have a strong feeling Kabir's joining KKN is tied up to him. Saas The link between the team and the boss. The link that keeps itself polished and forgets the linking part. Kabir Attention to details, without losing the big picture. Ability to turn everything to his advantage. Ananya Attention to Big picture, missing out the details, talks and then walks the talk too. Ronnie The good dependable guy. Manav Apparently seems to be the antogonist, but could be only an opportunist with ambitions. Would love it if he is not turned negative. Richa Is not as silly as she lets other perceive her. Rohan The Yes Sir guy. Will always know which side is the safe side. Malvika Diplomacy personified, Knows when to raise her voice and when to lower it. Can mix personal for business and can unmix it in a jiffy. I found her the most interesting of the mix at KKN.👍🏼 Trisha Ananyas' friend and well wisher. Hope they explore more of her. I didn't even get her name. Sunny Seems to be straight out of SOTY. Provides the required dose of humor.

Kabir is basically from print media, so he should be the one to look for truth in news.
Ananya, from telly media, so she should be the one to sensationalise the news.
But looks like a work-related-characteristic reversal.
Both have a past, Kabirs related to a woman (Unknown Factor #2), and Ananya's related to her dad Unknown Factor #3). Would be interesting to see how and where both these pasts converge.


Could be better:
Dialogs - except Kabir's dialogs, others dialogs are pretty much avg. KKN's competitive channel is required if the story is gonna focus on Reporters of a News Channel.
Ananya's home scenes miss the emotional connect. Since this is the only family scene we're getting, they could put some more effort into it. Somehow couldn't get the strong bond between mom and daughter or a family atmosphere.

The Best Part
No saas bahu, with no scope for any in the current setup👏
Casting seems to be perfect.😊
Fixed timeline will ensure no dragging.
Kabir's shift from print media to news media seemed more to settle some old scores than a career jump. His family has not been introduced, save for possibly an ex. Quite intriguing in the least.

first time here thanks to you !

as usual a thorough snapshot by Gita provides the insight into this different show . Agree with the points .
The main area for me were the dialogues ..i didnt find then hard hitting enough . Kabir being played by Rajeev makes the average dialogue stand out but it does not fare well with the others . But otherwise the show is moving ahead and hoping that it sticks to its intention of delivering what it promises to !
There is enough pace and the chemistry is now visible as shown in the last two episodes . Kabir is an intriguing character and looking forward to how the story unravels .

superb review on the characters... and the name saas sticks on 😆
wonder who the boss is , maybe both ananya and kabir have a score to settle there ...
Ronnie is a cutie and looks like the making of a triangle there...
Malavika is an interesting character she knows which buttons to push
Sunny sure reminds me too of dimpy in SOTY

Ananya is the support for her family and wants to redeem her father... love the way how she went and boldly asked for her job back to kabir

Kabir wants power , but is that all he wants? hope we get a good back story on Kabir..

like u said gee very well written characters and limited timeline ... hope the show rocks.

Good post Gitey 👏. And I'm commenting on your post after what seems like centuries 😉 😆.

I too am loving Reporters. As you said it seems quite refreshing. You got the characterisation bang on. I agree, Malvika's character seems most interesting on the show as of now.

Kabir came across as a mysterious and unpredictable character initially but I've started to get him in the last 2 epis. Rajeev's style adds class to this character. Won't elaborate much as you already know my thoughts on the character and the actor 😆. I've liked him before on Kahin toh Hoga as Sujal and Left Right Left as Captain Rajveer Singh. He was awesome in both.

Sunny Singh seems to have disappeared after the initial epis. I find his comedy a bit forced though.

I have a feeling that they will touch upon the personal lives of all the characters without giving too much prominence to them at the same time which is good. I can totally see Ronnie falling for Ananya which will be Triangle 1 and then Ananya falling for Kabir and Kabir's ex making an appearance which will be Triangle 2. I like Ronnie. Cute guy and character.

I too don't feel for Ananya's family as of now and didn't want to either because of the format of the show and I'm glad it's this way tbh. Am tired of the unnecessary emotional drama on the crap I see on TV nowadays. I guess when her father's story is out there'll be a stronger connect.

Manav is truly an opportunist and an attention seeker.

Will comment on the other girls as and when I get to know more on them.

I found the sound recording very poor initially but it has improved. It's still not so good technically. But with the story moving I guess the focus on the flaws will reduce.

I wish this show was Mon-Sat 😡. I miss it on Fri and Sat. I hope Sony gets competitive soon and airs all their dailies form Mon-Sat instead of Thu. All I see most of the times on that channel is CID and nothing else.

Gosh this turned out to be an essay. Aaj kal usi ka zamaana hain 😉 😆.

Dialogs, were not that impactful.

Have never watched Rajeev before. He is phenomenal as Kabir. Me too hope it delivers what it promises. Maybe set a trend for all those never ending sagas. I wish it was at 9:30 though. Would have liked to see where do my priorities lie?😆

Saas 😆 quite an apt name, he chose for himself.

I don't know about the triangle part but Ronnie rocks⭐️ The character is really adorable and warm. And a great friend too. I mean his friendship with Ananya is very realistic . They are not the kind of friends who keep on saying - Mai apne dost ke liye jaan dunga etc. The way Ananya convinces him to help her in the sting operation on the selector was really nice and real. And ultimately he is there to help his friend. There is no ott filmy dialogues in their friendship 👏

And I reallly wish the makers don't drag Ronnie in the triangle. I want him and Ananya to remain great friends. Otherwise it will become too mainstream and dramatic. I want Ronnie along with Sunny and others help Ananya and Kabir unite.

Malvika, I think has got lot of shades and will open up more as the story progresses. Her character has that potential.👏

And yes ! I agree with the family part. 😃👏

we're talking about the dialog writing and not dialog delivery. Kabir'/ Rajeev dialog delivery is awesome. Just wishing the dialogs of other characters too were more impactful.
