Reporters - Unfolding the characters strengths

Day by day the story of reporters is unfolding the characters strengths. Kabir is shrewd and Ananya is impulsive. He has a particular way of handling things and Ananya reacts to the situations that come in front of her. She is right in her own way but her thoughts , her actions need to be channelized properly and in Kabir she finds her guide, her mentor to bring the wrongs into light in the right way.

Reporters have opened up the characters slowly and steadily. The question about truth. What Ananya is told about the truth is " sach kya hai? Takat, Paisa, Power? Alag Alag takaton ke beech ka taalmel " and what Kabir asks his senior about the Truth is "Sach kya hai? Jo hum padhe? jo Sune? ya jo dekhe? ya iss sab ke peechhe ki ek parat?

Reporters is a story about the Truth, in search of the Truth. The game plan is to show the truth in such a way that everyone is bound to see the truth and accept it. It's just been 7 episodes of Reporters, but it has got the viewers engrossed fully.

Kritika portrays the character of Ananya very well. A bubbly , happy, always smiling girl who is confident, daring and a rebel. She always stands by her own voice. Always points out the wrongs in her own way not looking at the other's point of view but her own thought process. How easily she believes that her boss Kabir, is out to destroy her faith in the system. Feeling, that he is not the same that she used to like him as, and that he has changed. That he has stopped following the path of truth. She tends to believe the actions of Kabir are wrong and she never tries to go beyond one particular thought level. The homely side of her shows her concern about her mother and the love for her father which gives her strength to walk on the path of journalism. and how she is determined to find the truth about his disappearance. As for her brother, she is shown a sister, who tells him not to come to any conclusion by just listening to one side of the story and to understand every angle of the story. She is shown a confident reporter who just doesn't hesitate to find out the truth and stick by the truth.

Kritika has played the character of Ananya very naturally. The way she speaks, the way she expresses is very natural. We easily relate to the emotions that she goes through. Her eyes are the most talkative eyes and her smile wins our smiles too.

On the other hand Rajeev portrays the character of Kabir. Kabir who works as a Sr. Reporter, who wants to grow in his career from a just a reporter, whose news with the photos creates a buzz, to a News editor. He believes that showcasing the News on a channel gets you more viewers than, to the printing one gives. He is of the view that a change is needed with the time. He is of the belief that the grasping power of viewers depends upon what they see and what they listen. There seems to be a past of Kabir, which is yet to be unfolded. A past, which gives him strength and a push, to go in search of the truth.

Rajeev with his tremendous expressions brings out the Kabir in him. The way he gets into the character to make it real is just awesome. We feel the emotions that the actor goes through while in the shoes of the character. The attitude, the confidence, the shrewdness, is shown superbly. He really knows how to play with expressions. With his lively acting we don't just watch the serial but we live it. His eyes express a lot and his smile touches our hearts.

A superb combo of Kritika and Rajeev in Reporters. This serial is going to fly sky high. We just wait to see what happens next and feel too that the time is too short to enjoy the life of Reporters.
