Ice ice Bedi!

Pooja and beau Hanif Hilal were left with bruised knees after they danced on ice slabs for the promos of 'Nach Baliye 3'

Contestants of the show 'Nach Baliye 3' (Star Plus), Pooja Bedi and Hanif Hilal, recently shot for a promotional capsule that required them to dance on ice slabs. Obviously, shooting for the promo was difficult but Pooja and Hanif ensured that they enjoyed every bit of the shoot.

Talking about her experience Pooja bursts into laughter and says, "Hanif and I were skidding and falling all over the ice. It was tough. The unit would place muslin on the slabs between shots, so that we would be protected from the chill. But our hands and feet would still get numb. We ended up with bruises and a running nose the next day. I kept saying to myself, 'Ye nach nahi aasaan' (also this season's tagline)."

She adds, "We had fun though. We took it in the healthy spirit. After all, it's all about gaining experience in life. We wanted the experience and not the bruises to colour our life." Pooja continues, "We are enjoying the rehearsals. But between the rehearsals, there are a lot of promotional activities that happen. It is hectic and demanding. But it's worth it."

Pooja, who has been a celebrated talk show host on Zoom, admits that reality show is a different experience. She shares, "Reality shows are more vibrant. There is unpredictability about them. Nothing is scripted. It requires physical endurance unlike talk shows, which require intelligence."

She also reveals that reality shows have benefited her doubly adding, "The show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' has brought Hanif into my life. It has also added one more dimension to my profile-that of a dancer."

The last time, Hanif and Pooja danced in the reality show, they were paired as a choreographer and celebrity. This time, they are paired as a couple. When quizzed how different the dancing experience will be this time, Pooja comments, "Bollywood is not Hanif's forte. But maybe, this time we will make it to the finals!"
