i just don't understand how a scheming mutant like dadi raised such a fool like ragini. guys at the cost of getting jooto ki barsaat, the cvs have just crossed the line between simple, simple-minded and dimwitted with ragini. how was dadi's story believable at all? why would laksh say such harsh things instead of remaining silent, buy himself and ragini both heartache, if what he confessed wasn't true?!? why would Ragini's straightforward sister go along with this insanely stupid plan? why would laksh going to see his parents be an indication that whatever he confessed to ragini was somehow a big joke? and most importantly, why is being a gullible fool who cries buckets of tears due to her own follies, glorified and sympathized with as a sanskaari trait in indian soaps?!? theres nothing praise-worthy about being a pretty fool. you don't need to be a modern person to have you wits about you. thats such an insult to all of our grandmothers and even mothers who grew up in very traditional molds but were anything but fools! i can only speak for my own aaji, but I'm sure many will agree, she runs a tight ship and at 66 is wiser and more worldly than my aai and me put together!
i feel like they aren't doing Ragini's character justice. she showed SO much silent strength and growth in defending her family and telling laksh's hitler father the truth with her head held high and standing up for her father's happiness. so this version of ragini i really find almost borderline offensive. should she not have major issues trying to believe anything dadi says?!? dadi did lie to her about accidentally having killed her mother. idk guys, if you are that delusional and know so little about how to be a person with basic intelligence than i really think you deserve whats coming to you. sounds harsh? absolutely. but i just can't tolerate how serials seem to pass off being socially clueless as being sweet and innocent! its NEVER a good quality to b that insanely gullible. you can say oh she was emotionally distressed and dadi provided her comfort so she believed her. but then i fully expect her to analyze the situation once she's calm and realize how insane and utterly implausible dadi's story was. since that won't happen, i get to stand by my statement, Ragini's character just regressed or rather digressed from her path of character growth in showing internal strength and maturity.
please feel free to disagree! cordial discord is the best part of being in any forum! but i do urge that you back up any opinion with a logically sound argument. š
and hitler dadi doesn't care for anyone. she's only using her supposed 'laado' as an excuse to justify how low she's willing to go to stroke her own ego. what does shomi and shekhar have to do with laksh and ragini? laksh left his father's house on principal, not only for the garodia family. so in effect, even if laksh accepts ragini, he wouldn't accept his father's principal that demands shekhar to be separated from shomi in order for ragini to b accepted as a DIL in his family. surely a cunning woman like her can see that, if not she's as much of a fool as ragini, one blinded by misplaced trust, the other by her misguided ego.
