It is really unfortunate when an educated and financially independent girl like Payal has to end up compromising to a marriage into a fraud family. Looks like no matter how much ever accomplished they are, girls are always a burden to their parents. It is sad that Payal, the PWD engineer, who is strong in her professional area and is able to confidently reject people like Dev's brother in work matters, is unable to reject such a deceitful marriage proposal when it comes to her personal life.
every serial i see that. whether its educated girl or not same result. they give so much pressure to the girl that they don't have any choice. they feel obligated. it bothers me when i see girl side are begging to the groom's family all the time. why do they have to agree everything what groom side ask for it. don't you have your own mind how you want to marry your daughter? they are affraid of what if wedding gets cancelled if they don't listen to them. and then people will talk about it. who cares?people are not giving you food or shelter. you cannot ruin your daughters life because of those people. let the dog bark. payel should have told her family the truth. but again we cannot blame her because mother of her would not understand. she worries to much about her neighbor what they will talk.no matter what as long as her daughter is married it matters to her. very sad. payel is an educated girl she deserves better. and i am hoping fm her to stand up and get some answers fm her in-laws.

So true...I may sound rude, but for me Payal's parents are responsible for their daughter's dark future post marriage.
Her mum seemed to never acknowledge her academic qualification from her heart, she compared Payal to her son and wished the same for him. knowing that Payal was full time professional, she still emphasized house work, cooking and of course to see her married asap. Her haste somewhat forced Mr Rai and Guddan Mama to look for the eligible groom asap.Second, her dad, I appreciate him for his values, but I too believe that extreme of everything is bad, he got blinded in his beliefs to the extent that he could not see anything beyond that.. .and it was his values/morals that were used by Natru and he stands as a big fool today.Next, despite being an educated and man of high values...he was not able to leave the age old stereotypes...that getting daughter married before retirement , her going to sasural is important. My most complain is to him...Indu, I can understand, but he did also took his daughter as a burden and could not go against the old societal thoughts...plus was not able to understand the significance of the academically qualified daughter ...I find him very coward as a person.

"Girls are always burden to their parents"...I don't agree with this statement.Payal's father loved her a lot and I don't think he ever thought anything like this.

I agree... Payal's father never considered her as a burden. But I meant that this societal expectation that parents have to, come what may, get their daughters married off... all this places extra burdens on any girl's parents... and indirectly girls feel they will become a burden on their parents and it is this reason that Payal agreed to go ahead with the marriage.
Supposing this marriage gets called off at the wedding mandap, surely fingers will be pointed at Payal and her parents... and it will get even more difficult to find another suitable match for Payal. And Payal doesn't want her parents to take any more trouble and she is of the opinion that it isn't right that because of a fraudster family, her parents should end up being burdened all the more. And all this stems from society's standards that if parents could not successfully get their daughter married off, they have failed as parents... so although, parents may not consciously consider their daughter as a burden but the society does end up over-burdening a girl's parents...
