Yes, Jodha should have stayed loyal to her husband and strong in front of Hamida Banu's emotional blackmail. But, like I mentioned in my post and Abhay pointed out here, Hamida didn't give Jodha a chance to think or say anything. She simply rushed her into an emotional maelstrom and is making her convert ASAP just so that Jodha doesn't get any chance to rethink or change her mind.

I would love to see a strong Jodha making her stand on the issue in today's episode. And NOT need anyone else to fight her battles for her.

However, I am resigned to the fact that this is a Hindi TV serial. The heroine is initially a strong-willed individual. The way we saw Jodha BEFORE she and Jalal came together in the true sense. While we LOVE that Jodha as the fiery Ameri Mirchi, in the eyes of the CVs, she was then a "shrew" who needed to be "tamed" by the hero. Ever since the fiery Jodha returned to Jalal after the Amer separation, she has stopped being strong as a woman or a royal.

Even in the present track, much as we would want to see a strong Jodha fighting her own case, I am afraid there are others who would like to see Jalal "rescuing" her and this is the view that is conventional and likely to prevail.

Further, I differ from those who feel that Ruq will inform Jalal of the impending conversion in order to prevent it.

I feel Ruq, if she knows of the impending conversion, will let the conversion happen and THEN inform Jalal. She likes to inflict MAXIMUM damage. So she will be delighted if Jodha goes against Jalal and converts secretly. She will exploit this to her advantage and manipulate Jalal into thinking that Jodha is abusing his trust and undermining his authority as a ruler.

I don't think anyone has seen her going. She is looking back at Kanha or the palace wistfully, hoping that all this a dream from which she wakes up soon.

I don't think Salim will be much affected by Jodha's impending conversion. He is kind of "expecting" it. In fact, he will be much troubled if it is stopped.

Hey radhika i agree with most of ur points. Jodha cant do anythg coz she has the highest regard for hamida bano n this is the first time HB has asked her for smthg so she can hardly refuse.. plus as a mother the guilt of standing in the way of her sons future is a huge guilt load to bear.
As for ruqqaiya if she knows she will stop the conversion n not let it happen coz at present she is more concerned with keeping salim in her grasp as jalal is already out of her reach n if she has to choose between informing jalal before or after the conversion she will do her best to not let jodha convert as it would make salim appreciate jodha stand n she knows that jalal will sooner or later go back to jodha...
I hate this rona dhona. . I hope they dont stretch it till wednesday to boost trp ratings n finish it off today. I believe with news of a vishkanya entry this track must b over n new one already started...

So, Posting my views here only, as a common reply..


In short,
I am of the view that MM is not upto the status, which a Queen Mother is expected to follow, and she is the one who is seen as a role model by the others. If she is going to be like this then, what about the future Queen Mothers ? Her approach is short sighted. Till date, she has supported her son's policies with complete regard, and here she is going against him, that too, without telling him. Esp. as Radhika stated, she was the one who was initially supporting Jalal in his decision of going for MukhalFat of Shah-i-Iran, but right now, she has decided to bend before Shah-i-Iran.

The basis of any friendship is equality, first of all. That very foundation has been shaken. When one person starts to behave as a big brother, then the problem arises. Same is the case here. If HB bends this time, then in future, it is very much possible, the ruler of Iran will come up with another demand of his. <- This is such a simple point which HB should understand. We all know, the motive of Iranian ruler is so pressurize Jalal to reverse his liberal policies and convert Hindustan in Daru'l-Islam, which is against the established law of this Sultanate. HB is been utterly disappointing here.


Coming to Jodha.

I have already said a point, few pages back, and would repeat the same again. I was more concerned about the stand of HB. If we see the episode, it was complete emotional blackmail, and in such a condition i don't think the person concerned(Jodha), will get enough time to think about deeply and weigh the logical points , and decide the repurcussions of such a decision. CV's have shown HB as a not so far thinking Queen Mother in present case.

-> HB came in a hurry, did emotional blackmailing, extracted word from Jodha's mouth regarding conversion, and went to make immediate arrangement for conversion. That time, human emotions do sway over a person.

HB was the one who supported her before as well, and allowed her to retain her religion. If we remember , Jodha got ready to convert before also, once, but that was a plan of HB, so she was saved at the last moment. In short, HB is the person who exercises lot of influence in her life, straight refusal to her EMOTIONAL REQUEST was not easy.

Though, i am also expecting, like many that on Monday, Jodha might herself , think some thing about this issue and refuse. And, if not, we already have various theories being discussed here. :D

Exactly.Hamida is a very important person in Jodha's life, she bonded wih hamida even before she bonded with Jalal. She knows that hamida has always supported her thourgh every thick and thin. Hamida is like mother to her, maybe thats why she felt when hamida who has always supported her wants her to convert, her convertion must be a needed thing to solve the issue. How would a woman feel if she is told all the suffferings her children arwe going through is due to her, and how would a queen feel if she is held as the reason of a war which will kill many. Ofcourse she will feel she is the cause of everyone's sufferings and will try to sacrifice.She earlier also got ready to convert with a single order from Hamida. She sees Hamida as her guide in the mughal household, and thats why she got swayed with emotions.Here Hamida very well knew if she cries and begs jodha will be emotionally blackmailed and she used just that🥱

Hamida played emotional blackmail card here, which very few can not be tricked with. For Jodha Hamida is her mother, and ofcourse she will agree to convert if Hamida comes begging and crying to her. About ruku, I think her target has shifted to Salim as she has understood Jalal will never be hers. Right now her main moto is Jodha doesnt convert because if she does Salim will understand how much jodha loves him. I also felt after rewatching that Jodha is simply looking at the palace or kanha idol for the last time hoping for some miracle, noone has seen them. Maybe Jodha herself will back out from converting, or maybe Jalal will get to know, or maybe Hamida will get her senses back.But I am sure convertion wont happen.Today's episode will answer a lot of questions
