du Plessis and Raina are good batsman but inconsistent. Age is catching up with Dhoni but still a good batsman.

Good that you forgot about McCullum. He is extremely inconsistent anyway. Classical test batsman should stay how they are, not try to change their game completely.

But all fall short of Steve Smith. Rahane, Hooda and Faulkner are in form too.

Anyway, where did you get the idea that I hate CSK? I'm a big fan of Dhoni and naturally like his team... It is a different matter that it isn't my favorite team and I don't like certain aspects of it (especially if it is a match against MI).
