The bit about fear of water and trying to let go fear and trust each other came out really well...
There still remains hope for Jeena Jeena 😊

Aww you bumped this old post? lol I dunno if the sequence was a result of this essay I wrote on Jaise mera tu and Jeena Jeena but I'm glad either ways that it happened...my "hope" was long gone😆

Word to all you said about the sequence...I'm just gonna copy/paste what I wrote in another thread last night:

Pool scene really was almost ethereal in a sense...how perfectly Jaise mera tu fit it *sigh*...everything from the "uljhi si baatein dil mujh se bhi baante do meherbaaniyaan" bit when she turns uncertainly, takes a deep breath and then lets herself go to the water... to the way he was watching her during the, "bas mein na mere ab yeh raha hai" bit...

And yes, the bit when he lifts her hand off his shoulder and holds it, silently giving her the support and encouragement to let go...and the little brave and determined smile she gives as she relaxes and looks up at the stars as if finding strength from them too...lovely scene indeed.

Honestly this song just does it for me...lol...like I just said in the EDT, you can't go wrong if you pick this song to use on them...automatically their expressions improve too😆

Word on them not making the sequence HOT...rather it was sweet and poignant...poignancy was something I've been missing since a while in their scenes...this one had thehraav and contentment :-)

Hey sure, all my moving pictures are always free to use😆

@Zee: Ok I'll stack those once I get home. Am at work right now. Just to be sure, you're talking about the bits when he corners her and then trolls her with the face he makes, no?

Had to reply on this post as it was what i remembered first thing when they started playing that tune as she walked backwards silently praying aayyapa and stars;

This is what i wrote about the song sequence on Twinkle's thread:

I was on the fence for this whole pool scene, but surprisingly it worked for me.. because i think it was transitioned into and executed well.. Stars - They are with them too.. And those are giving strength too.. While nandu is thinking about long night, maanik asking her to let it pass... And to relax float in the pool.. It was really nice scene.. And thankfully they didnt make it unnecessarily HOT.. it continued the calmness that their previous conversation had brought and yes it was all about relaxing together, trusting each other, and just letting the night pass in each others company.. So yeah loved it.. Especially loved nandu and maanik interaction here - The fear of water, trust in each other, his efforts to make her comfortable enough to float with him on her side.. Acting and direction, editing was really awesome.. Learning to swim myself, i know how it feels just to let that fear go and trust someone else and yourself to float.. So year loved this letting go fear - trust execercise that maanik came up with :) The bit where she is sinking the first time he leaves her legs after seeing her float and she trying to hold him again and he reassuring again, she trusting him and being able to float with him.. Even the look they share in the end when they are floating together.. Lovely.. These details that they played off each other, especially without any words.. To top it off it was accompanied by Jaise mera tu.. The song is just special.. I remember there was thread few days back about wanting this song and jeena jeena on them back.. And i had mentioned there as well as topic maker had rightly said, jaise mera tu is their song.. She wrote it, he composed music.. It makes it special.. And the lyrics and music are just so so Manan.. The lyrics with each scene went just so well... The way she is struggling in water after that fall, he holding her and saying Nandini... ❤️ Loved love it.. I think this is going to be favorite song sequence on them in recent times.. I dont remember anything worth remembering since the last ice-cream song sequence.. So yeah, cant express how much i loved this.. Already watched this multiple times..

Worddd to the bits in bold...I think this is my fav. song sequence since the ice-cream sequence too, rightly said...Jaise Mera Tu summarizes them in this beautifully innocent way I feel...and this scene reflected that quality too through the little nuances you mentioned :-)
