Couldn't catch the episode on TV yesterday.. Watched it online.. Had not watched the precap.. A short take on the episode..
Starting of the realisation...
Yes, Ram is finally starting to realise that all his efforts to keep Anu alive is turning out to be futile.. The realisation is dawning onto him painfully, Anu's suffering, Doctor's opinion about her pain & the hopelessness of the prognosis, the hurtful words of the houseowner, the gentle advice by the neigbourhood doctor, everything hitting the nail hard on the head.. As Anu says, the time has come for the finality...
Ram was excellent in this episode, every scene was a perfection, his helplessness, the greif, the desperation everything beautifully portrayed..
The first scene was slightly marred by single frame and BD.. But Gurdeep's portrayal of a very sick patient who is struggling to breath was bang on...
Ram talking to kids over phone shown his frustration and helplessness perfectly... Though he couldn't actually show the frustration on them, he tried his best to avoid letting them know of the gravity of Anu's health.. Doctor informing Ram about the steps taken to relieve Anu's pain.. I am glad the makers did some research on the various means used by the specialists to contain the pain.. Seems, in extreme cases, doctors do try cut the nerves that carries the pain signal to the brain.
Ram - Anu convo was so painfully beautiful. This man is at the edge of his sanity.. When Anu says time has come for death, it was just so heart wrenching.. Ram & Gurdeep aced this scene..
Scene of the day was Ram's reflection at his darkened house.. His body language screamed of the turmoil the character is going through.. Again he was perfect in his imaginary conversation with Anu.. But I felt Gurdeep was slightly OTT in that scene. The imaginary Anu asking Ram to win awards for her.. Hope it is a precursor for things to come. He is such a sweet father, te hug with Aarav was lovely.. Again he is helpless with kids, but I guess it is natural for him to protect the kids from the pain of impending death as long as possible.. His final confrontation with the almighty is on the way..
The house owner behaved like how most people behave in similar circumstances. And Ram too behaved like how an already-in-grief husband would behave..
No comments on Mr. Kapoor, but the acting was good. Wonder why Suraj is not checking up on Anu on his own.. Maybe a visit from him is on the cards in the couple of episodes..
Anu's end is very near.. And what next? More heartbreaks awaited...
