And you don't tell us hospital stories anymore 😒 I liked them. Is it because princess knew more about medicines and surgery and hospitals and you don't think we would understand any of the stories.

Hey 🤗 🤗 How have you guys been? Glad to have a new home finally! The Tenth Black Hole was seemingly unending...

Saumya, glad to know you are fine. I'll be happier if you tell us that you have no intention of succumbing to pressure. Any updates on the job front?

I've been mostly okay. Dad was discharged only yesterday. Has to be home and on bed rest for another week or more. Heema, does cellulitis ring a bell?

Here's a blow-by-blow account of what happened: when I was in Hyderabad, dad had just got back from Vadodra. From the time he had returned, he was complaining of discomfort in the stomach. But he did not go to the doctor because he thought it would resolve itself (he even went in to work because office is the solution to all problems). It did not. Instead, in addition, he started developing a high fever. Mom was fairly alarmed because he was extremely drowsy and was blabbering all sorts of nonsense. Near delirium. The doctor was called in and I was called from Hyderabad.

By the time I touched home, the doctor had arranged for a bed in the hospital. He was suspecting an infection in either the stomach or the liver and wanted him to be monitored after some tests. The test reports ruled out stomach or liver infection. And the fever would be gone for only as long as the effect of the antibiotic lasted. They could not give very strong medicines either because dad was born with polycystic kidneys.

Anyway, because the reports did not show liver or stomach infection, there was no way to explain the high and recurring fever. In the meantime, I noticed that his right foot was red and swollen. Whenever I would mention it to dad, he would brush it off. One of the doctors finally indulged me by examining it. There, we found a huge patch of infected skin. The doctor diagnosed it as cellulitis and said that his condition could be because of it.

When they discovered it, the cellulitis was not too severe, so they thought they could suppress it with antibiotics. But the antibiotics did not work at all. The fever raged on along with the cellulitis. Finally, after some 10 days in the hospital, there was a surgery to drain out the pus in the leg. That happened on Friday last week. Since then, his foot looks better and he is seeming healthy too.

That's the story. Had a harrowing two weeks...not just because of dad but because hospitals are so depressing! Anyway. Once he is fully recovered, I resume travelling.

Hoping to bump into one of you one of these days...only not sure when that will happen.

I have many many strories to tell but it requires time and energy to write them . This CC is ghost town. I am not sure if massages are read or not . I don't like monologues . So I save my time .

Princess was great for me . She was very dependable . Never miss a day . If she did I knew about it she was my stress buster. So many times I used to solve my problems with her . I sure miss her . I hope she is alright 😭
