Okie.....Vedika overhears what DRS is saying to Vasu about Shalini, and asks him how come he remembered Vasu's mother. DRS says, "How can one forget the person who tried to kill you?" Vedika is shocked and DRS says that Vasu is shielding Shalini. Just then Shreya enters angrily demanding what is wrong as a journalist was asking Sid about the problem between the Rai Singhania sisters. Vedika is now bent on revenge from Vasudha.
Vasu goes to meet Shalini in the mental asylum. She says, "i thought that after Papa was shot, he would stop conspiring against his own children, but that didn't happen. Give me strength so that I may keep the family together." When she is leaving, Vedika and Shreya watch from behind. Both are convinved that she is working against them and is loyal only to her mother.
Next morning, Vedant is waiting for his sisters to come and tie Rakhi on him. Sandhya brings some gifts for his sisters which she has bought from her father's fixed deposit. She says, why should this year's rakhi be any different, because now I am in your life?đ
Vasu is preparing Rakhi for Vedant; Vedika watches, thinking that Vasu is trying to show that only she is Vedant's sister, but they will prove her wrong. She meets Vasudha and says she and Shreya are also coming with her to meet Vedant. Vasu is overjoyed...poor thing thinks Vedika is genuinely concerned for Vedant.
DRS is waiting for his rakhi; Nani tells him that his sister was not sure whether this year rakhi would be celebrated in their house at all, like previous years when the 3 sisters would celebrate with Vedant. Vasu says the same will happen this year too. DRS is shocked to see the 3 all ready with rakhis. He says, I have no son so you have no brother; if you claim to have a brother, then consider yourself as having no father. Vedika sends Shreya and Vasu outside and shows DRS a paper; when he reads it, he laughs out in glee.
The sisters arrive at Vedant's place; Vasu is just about to tie the rakhi when the police come to arrest him for setting fire to the mill last night. Vedika angrily says Vedant has betrayed them and overturns the thali.đ The police take him away. Vasu picks up her rakhi from the ground and follows.
Vedika is sitting in her car, thinking that this is her rakhi gift for her brother.đĄ
At the police station, Vasu begs to be allowed to tie rakhi on Vedant, but the officer refuses. Vedant breaks free and runs towards her; the policemen follow with thier guns (I was petrified thinking they were going to shoot him) but he reaches her safely and lets her tie the rakhi. He says, he is ashamed that the same hand which has her rakhi also has handcuffs. She tells him she is proud he is going to jail for a right cause, and promises that she will get him out soon.đ
Preview: Vedika brings Vedant some papers as condition for getting him out, which he tears up. Vasu shows Vedant a letter from Sandhya.
